About this house rental
Our lovely, light-filled 4-bedroom house offers 170 sq metres of accommodation spread across 3 floors and is within easy reach of central London.
On the ground floor is an entrance hall, sitting room with TV and DVD player, a downstairs toilet and a brand new stunning and spacious kitchen extension. Large glass sliding doors overlook our beautiful 30m private garden. The garden has two patio areas for sitting and enjoying a drink or meal, a gas barbecue and a large enclosed trampoline for children. It is extremely peaceful; you can relax to the sounds of the birds singing after a busy day in London!
On the first floor are two large bedrooms, one with a bed that can be used as a double or a single, and the other with a single bed. There is a family bathroom with bath, shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. There is also a smaller single bedroom.
The top floor consists of a gorgeous loft conversion with super king size bed, beautiful views of the surrounding gardens seen through bifolding doors and an “infinity balcony”, and a lovely ensuite bathroom with roll-top cast iron bath. There is also a large television in this room.
High speed wireless internet connection is available throughout the house.
Our house is situated in a quiet and safe area on the outskirts of Muswell Hill. At the end of our road is beautiful Durnsford Park with its café, tennis courts and play areas for children. We are also a ten minute walk from Alexandra Palace Park which has a boating lake, ice skating rink, café, playgrounds and soft play centre for children, along with amazing views across London.
Nearby Bounds Green and Alexandra Park Road have a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, and a 5 minute bus journey or 20 minute walk brings you to Muswell Hill, a London “village” with numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs (Marks and Spencer, Sainsburys, Planet Organic, Whistles, Carluccios and plenty of individual, quirky shops). Crouch End and Highgate are also easily reached, and Highgate Woods is beautiful for a stroll.
We are easily reached by car from the A406 and there is plenty of free car parking in the road. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to Bounds Green tube station. Bounds Green is on the Piccadilly Line, and from here the journey into central London takes 20 minutes. Alexandra Palace Railway station is also a ten minute walk away. Local bus stops allow for quick journeys for example to Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Highgate and Wood Green.

This house is a great fit for a family looking to explore London. It has everything you need. It has character. Kate is a great host and communicates very politely and effectively.
Just be mindful that this is not the place if you want to come and go during the day. The time it takes to/from downtown (~45min including walking to/from subway station), consumes part of your day. It's not like "let's go take a shower before we head out again". We were a family of 4 with a 10 year old kid and we were not going to clubs at night, etc, so this was not an issue for us.

I would thoroughly recommend this property. The house is beautiful, and perfectly equipped for a family. The location is brilliant both in terms of the immediate locality, and the accessibility of central London. Kate was a kind and generous host and very easy to deal with. We would definitely stay here again when visiting London.

Can’t say enough good things about our stay! The house was spacious, super clean, very comfortable, and Kate was friendly, helpful, accommodating, and very responsive when I had any questions. I was visiting London with my two adult children and we had a blast, and this house was the perfect launching pad for each day of exploration. Takes about 10 minutes to walk to the tube and from there you can get to anywhere in London very easily. The neighborhood of the home is quiet, safe, we slept like babies. Loved our stay and feel like it was quite a lucky find. Will absolutely stay again, already searching for th next great air deal!

Charmante maison typique dans un quartier calme et agréable. Si vous voulez vous imprégner d'une atmosphère typiquement anglaise c'est la maison parfaite ! Bow window, vitraux, carrelage ancien et parquet, moquettes moelleuses, 2 salles de bain avec douche et baignoire chacune, chambre parentale avec un lit immense et une vue magnifique sur le jardin arboré. Petite terrasse supplémentaire au fond du jardin au milieu de la végétation. Le métro est à 10mn à pied, ligne desservant Saint Pancras et Picadilly .Pour les courses alimentaires, nombreux petit commerces de proximité autour de la station de métro et un Tesco Express plus traditionnel à 5mn. Le pub Ranelagh a proximité du métro est parfait aussi pour prendre une bière ou y manger (musique live le jeudi et grande terrasse arborée). Vous pourrez rejoindre à pied le parc d'Alexandra Palace avec une magnifique vue sur Londres et pour les plus courageux prendre la voie piétionne et la forêt pour vous rendre au cimetière de Highgate et finir par la colline de Hampstead.
Très bon accueil à l'arrivée et très bonne communication avec Kate. Je recommande vivement !
