Where will I be?
Penzance is a unique beachfront property in a truly stunning location with uninterrupted views north from the Gerroa peninsula. Less than two hours from Sydney but miles away from care, come and experience the wonders of Penzance and the beautiful South Coast. Fabulous diving, surfing and fishing at your doorstep with the golf course just around the headland. Take in the romance of the property, taste the wines at the local vineyards or indulge in fine dining and boutique shopping.
Why choose Penzance?
Have breakfast with the whales and dolphins as you watch the sunrise over the ocean from the expansive decks on both levels. The property has absolute frontage to deserted Shelley Beach with a backdrop of lush green rolling hills.
How is the property laid out?
Penzance is a double storey, four bedroom beach home. Upstairs there is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen and dining area which has seating for eight and adjoins the comfortable lounge area that flows out to the expansive deck overlooking the ocean. Also on this level is the main king bedroom, with ensuite and walk in robe, and the main bathroom with shower, bath, vanity and separate toilet.
Downstairs is a sunroom with TV/DVD player and three more bedrooms - one queen, and two twin rooms with single beds and one bathroom/laundry with shower, toilet and vanity.
Please note - Part of the downstairs area is locked and not for guest use.
WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a backup plan.
What about outdoors?
The large decks front the ocean on both levels. The top level has an outdoor setting for eight guests. The downstairs deck has a BBQ, outdoor setting and teak settee.
Staying warm or keeping cool?
Penzance has two electric "log fire" heaters in the main living area and oil heaters in each bedroom. There are ceiling fan in the main living area.
What about sheets, towels and other supplies?
Pillows, blankets, doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!
Parking for cars, boats etc?
There is off street, open air parking for four cars on the driveway.

Myself and 3 friends had a girls weekend away and the house was perfect. Had everything we needed. The views were amazing and so relaxing. You could go for walks along the rocks/beach or just relax on the balcony. We had the added bonus of having two whales arrive and spend ages playing right out the front of the house on Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend.

The location of the property is ideal - right at a beach and headland, with wonderful views of the ocean, but we felt it needed a little TLC, and could have been cleaner. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the description of the property does not include mention of the rooms downstairs that are locked, that you have no access to. In effect, YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE WHOLE PROPERTY.
It was raining at the time of our arrival, so we were annoyed to discover that you could not access the property via downstairs - the downstairs door is marked “PRIVATE” and you have no key to it, so we were forced to take all our bags up the outdoor stairs, which are extremely slippery in the rain.
Also, the downstairs deck is only accessible via the bedroom downstairs or by going down the front outdoor stairs and walking around the back of the house.
The only rooms downstairs that you have access to are 2 bedrooms, bathroom and the laundry.
The windows could do with a good clean as well as the outside of the property. The location was ideal but some TLC is definitely needed and the property description needs to be corrected. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs but all the living areas are upstairs, this property would not suit anyone with a wheelchair or anyone who has difficulty with stairs.
