I saw another reviewer say that they were patting themselves on the back for choosing this property, and that’s exactly how we feel! This apartment was fantastic for our long (8 weeks) stay in Rome. The location is perfect, in a nice residential neighborhood with every convenience, but also close to transit to take you to everything you will want to do. It’s near the Villa Doria Pamphili, which is in a huge beautiful park. It’s also a quick walk to the train station or bus stops so when you’re done sightseeing with the crowds you’ve got a lot of options to deliver you back to a quiet and welcoming apartment. The property is sparkling clean, modern and well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the host was super responsive when we had questions. She went above and beyond to send us info on new exhibits that opened while we were there, and she has prepared a book with all the information you’ll need for your stay - restaurants, shops, bus lines, everything. There is a fruit\veg stand next door, a laundry service across the street, and a pharmacy and grocery store on the next block. Our favorites were the Enoteca Fiscaletti Daniele, which had a great selection of meats, cheeses, pasta and wine, and Otaleg gelato (don’t miss their pistachio shortbread!). Both were within two blocks of the apartment, and we visited them several times a week.We would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Paola for the wonderful stay!

As hosts in the USA, communication is very important to us & Paola is the best! She was very quick to reply & answer our questions (we had many!). She also greeted us upon arrival at the property and gave us a tour of the property. She is a wonderful host and her property is beautiful. Elevator a plus! Great location within walking distance (4 min) to the train station for the next part of our journey to Florence. Buses were close by & I highly recommend using them. We purchased Roma passes in advance & found them unnecessary as you can swipe your credit card each time you use the bus with a per day maximum. A prior guest commented on having to take out trash & clean dishes upon leaving the property, but that is a fairly common request at VRBOs. Trash & recycle containers are literally right in front of the property on the street.) Leaving dishes the way you found them-clean, is a very quick and simple task. Overall, the property was quite large & well appointed. The second bedroom with 2 twin beds was quite small for 2 adults as we had to put our open luggage on the floor. Adding luggage racks would be a nice addition. The only real problem for us was the AC in the main living area was not working at all during our 5 night stay & there was no one available to fix it til the day before we left. It was only comfortable in the 2 bedrooms so we did sleep well. Even the bathrooms were quite warm. Again, that was our only issue. Great property overall and a fantastic host!

Paola was a fantastic host and very helpful and communicative. Excellent quiet property with a great produce stand right below and bakery grocery store very close. A little outside the action so requires transit to get to spots but we really enjoyed our stay.

My family and I just left Paolas beautiful apartment. We couldnt have been more comfortable. I have been in Rome over a dozen times and stayed all over the city, in many different hotels and one other apartment. Weve never been in such a lovely place! The neighborhood was new to us but it didnt take long for us to figure out everything great about it. The property itself was extremely well cared for and lovely. More importantly, it wasnt just the whitewashed generic apartments one frequently rents. It was comfortable, very clean, well decorated and homey. The bathrooms had everything we could have wanted. We actually could have come without toiletries because Paola provided everything! We didnt need to use any of those things but it was just another layer of her astonishing hospitality. The kitchen was beyond what I would expect from a vacation rental. Not only was it beautiful and very well appointed, she carried all the little things one hates to buy for a week long stay (salt, pepper, sugar, etc) as well as thoughtful things like olive oil and other spices. The bedrooms were comfortable. The views on the balconies and from the bedrooms were lovely. Outside the apartment, there was a store to the right of us and a fruit/vegetable store to the left of us. Up the stairs, there were restaurants and taxi stands, ATM machines. Now I get to the part where I talk about Paola. I have rented VRBO/Homeaway properties for years. I have never had an owner host us so warmly before. Ever. She drove 45 minutes from her seaside home to welcome us. She made reservations for transportation for us on 3 separate occasions. She answered all my texts and helped us negotiate dinners and trains. She was the ultimate hostess who made this trip to Rome effortless for me and my family.I recommend this property very very highly for people who are fine with being out of the center of Rome. But more importantly, I recommend Paola, who has other properties in Italy as well. I wont go to Rome again without contacting her first.
