About this house rental
Casa Alegria is a two bedroom home nestled in the South part of town near hidden beaches, yet only an 10 minute walk (no hills) to Sayulita Plaza and the Beach. Perfectly situated so everything is walkable but far enough away from the late night sounds of town.
The Casa is decorated in a hacienda style and offers an open floor plan with high ceilings. Alegria also has two balconies and a back yard garden patio. The living room has a large sectional sofa to cuddle up on and watch Netflix when you are not at the beach or touring around town. The main bathroom boasts a beautiful walk-in stone shower and the master bathroom has a large soaking tub that is just heaven after a long beach day. The bedrooms are equipped with AC, plenty of closet space, and unlike the rock-hard beds found throughout Mexico, these memory foam mattresses are a dream to sleep on.
Casa Alegria comes with free WiFi, a full kitchen, AC in the bedrooms and ceiling fans throughout, 100% cotton sheets, quilts and towels, TV with Netflix, Logitech speaker dock, bottled drinking water, kitchen supplies and many other touches to make your stay enjoyable. There is also a gas grill on the back balcony in case you want to grill up your catch of the day. We also provide beach towels, beach chairs, and a beach umbrella.

This property is currently being sold and lacks some maintenance, especially with door locks. When we arrived the stairs and hand rails were very dusty. The dishwasher was also out of service. Air conditioning works very well and beds are comfortable but you must absolutely close all doors and windows at night as the neighboring environment is very noisy (dogs, roosters, mechanical tools). We found earplugs indispensable.

Casa Alegria is a nice 2 bed, 2 bath apartment close but away from the main centre of Sayulita (which can get busy in the afternoon and evening). It is well equipped and the host was accommodating and very responsive. The manual was well put together with lots of helpful tips. It would work well for a family or 2 couples. Recommended.

Not the owner’s fault, but there is a property behind with numerous dogs that bark and fight frantically, day and night. And roosters/peacocks start screaming in the middle of the night and carry on all day. Not the restful sanctuary we hoped for. Oven and dishwasher were not working, cookware was dirty/ruined. Beautiful fridge ! The lighting in the unit is poor, you need a book light to read. We did enjoy Sayulita and would return !

Nice facility. Felt like I was on my own checking in as no response to phone calls but (days) later realized Manuel had texted my phone. Not able to park adjacent to property as large trucks traveling to condo construction site at the end of narrow Guanabana cul de sac. Very helpful and detailed informational booklet is recommended reading as well as advance notice of check-in instructions.
