About this villa rental
The house is an oasis of peace nestling amongst one of the regions most famous vineyards with a magnificent, atmospheric, panorama of views from the bay of La Ciotat in the South round to the mountains of Le Castellet in the North.
The approach to the secluded hill top villa and its mature gardens is along a track from the local road, winding through the vineyards. Secure, video controlled gates lead to shaded parking and then onto the meandering gravelled drive. As you walk along you are surrounded by the sights and smells of the lavender bushes and waving palm trees typical of Provence. You may also spot stone and iron sculptures peeking out from the well tended ‘wild’ gardens that lie between the main villa and the more secluded guesthouse.
The main villa is on two levels set into the hillside. The main floor comprises the master bedroom, an open plan kitchen, living room and dining area - all fitted out with modern equipment and furnished to the highest standard. Throughout the large, full height sliding windows open out onto the beautifully tiled terraces which give truly inspiring views. You can sit and follow the sun from a golden morning with coffee by the pool to gazing from the terrace at the end of the day as a beautiful red sunset washes over the bay and mountains.
The dining area terrace overlooks the lawns and infinity pool where you can swim and relax, shaded by the mature palms waving gently overhead. This combination of the quiet and cool terraces and sunnier pool area is ideal for a relaxed, outdoor Mediterranean lifestyle.
Inside the villa, the spacious master bedroom has ensuite facilities with a safe, its own terrace, complete with spectacular views across the gardens. The second, large double bedroom is on the lower level and also has its own shower and facilities.
The lower floor corridor gives access to the utility room and entertainment room which again have views across the lower ‘wild’ gardens and the bay beyond.
The ‘secret jewel’ of the property is a lovingly restored Provencal barn which lies unseen below the main villa amongst the bushes and trees of the lower gardens. It can be reached by stone paving and steps from the main house or via its own parking entrance. The house has a large double bedroom with original exposed wooden rafters, stone walls and a separate stone wet room. Outside is a quiet, shaded terrace with barbecue where you can eat al fresco or just sit, relax and take in the surrounding nature.
The villa has an independent, sophisticated security controlling access to the grounds and both properties have electronic shutters on the external windows for complete peace of mind when leaving the property. Wifi and satellite tv is available throughout the main villa.

The house was large, airy, and very good. The kitchen was a bit small when working two persons at the same time, but very well equipped and basic groceries were in place. The master suite had a very nice bathroom and good airconditioning.
The outside was even better than the inside, with a fantastic view out over the bay below. We didn't really believe the photos on vrbo, but it turned out the view was even better in real life. The garden was beautiful and very well illuminated during the night (lights were turned on and off using the remote control).
The best part last - the pool. An infinity pool is fantastic, the continous flow of water keeps the pool clean and you can continue to enjoy the view when swimming.
We would love to come back!

Un emplacement remarquable, une vue à couper le souffle, un jardin où il fait bon flâner, le tout avec des couchers de soleil impressionnant !
La piscine est rafraîchissante et très bien exposée
La maison est confortable, lumineuse avec une vue différente de chaque pièce. De la Ciotat à la Sainte Baume en passant par le Castellet, ce paysage de mer et de Provence vous comblera.
Le défaut: séjour trop court!

My wife and 13 year-old daughter stayed here for a week and it was unforgettable from the moment the shutters rose to reveal the view from the pool (I actually witnessed my daughter’s jaw drop). The villa is beautifully designed and wholly sympathetic to the landscape, not some architectural folly plonked on top of it. It’s very tranquil and private and the garden is full of lavender and olive and fig trees. The only problem is that it’s so relaxing and picturesque that you don’t want to go anywhere else or do anything else! Highly recommended for a get-away-from-it-all holiday, but you will need a car as it’s 10 minutes to Bandol.
