Chalupa U dedka

Located in a quiet villige close to the walking trail.

We were very suprised about the House and the area all around the house. House was very clean, well equipped and placed in silent area surrounded by mountains and forest. Perfect place to rest. About the owner, He's a very friendly and helpfully owner. I heartily recommend ;)

We had a beautiful hike up the hill and ate wild blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Beautiful landscape and views. Great hike with no other people about. The church in Legnava is beautiful on the inside but is not always open. We got in to see it because it was a holy day (Feast of the Assumption, Aug 15), but I don't know about other days. The room itself was fine -- it was small, but we really wanted to stay in the village. Lucas showed us around town and up to the old cemetery.

We had some trouble booking it. After we booked (same day we were staying there), the manager (Lucas) contacted us to say he couldn't keep the reservation because he couldn't provide breakfast. We told him we didn't care about breakfast but wanted to stay and he refunded us the money we had paid on line for breakfast. There are no restaurants or stores of any kind in the village -- we went out to dinner about 20 km away in Stara Lubovna.

Location and facilities were excellent.

We thought we were staying in the old, renovated house that you see in the front of the picture. Instead we stayed in a new addition at the back of the house. It was nice, but not what we had expected.
