Casa Iola

Casa Iola is a peaceful place to rest. Would stay again.

The room was stocked with coffee, which was lovely, but tea would have been good as well.

Lovely peaceful hotel near the airport. Luís was very helpful during my stay. Quiet location, room was pretty clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was much appreciated! The shared bathroom was clean and shower was very powerful. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the area within walking distance.

To improve the room they could add a mirror and some hooks for coats and towels. Be aware that the shared bathroom sink is out in the open, not in the bathroom with the toilet and shower. There were a few cobwebs in the room so cleaning attention to detail could be higher, but the room itself was clean in every other way.

Casa Iola was perfect for a one-night stop over in Cancun before we drove to Mérida. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff helpful, and it was very easy to get to from the airport. Also, there were several food options within walking distance, as well as a pharmacy where we could pick up water.

Be aware there is no bottled water provided so you need to pick it up or bring it with you.

The location was very close to where I needed to do business for 2 weeks. I appreciated the privacy and how secure the location was, as I spent most days in Cancun within Casa Iola. Most of all, I absolutely loved the host - Luis (and Poncho the cat). Luis understood my needs and was very personable. He helped me tremendously. He made sure I was not only taken care of, but that I could come to him about anything and feel like more than just a random guest while I stayed at Casa Iola. He's very easy to approach and spend time talking about anything. My time with Luis made my time in Cancun very memorable and I was very fortunate to have him as my host.
