About this house rental
This creekside property is a nature-lover's paradise! It includes 3 spacious bedrooms on the second floor that can sleep 7 comfortably. There is an eat in kitchen, living room with smart TV and a reading room. Wireless internet available throughout the house. Air conditioning throughout the house. Washer and dryer on site as well. At night, a fire pit creates the perfect setting for outdoor relaxation. (Firewood provided by hosts) Large swing in yard by creek to enjoy the wildlife and evening sunsets. Spend your days fishing, swimming kayaking, or simply lounging by the water. You can easily take a day trip to Gettysburg, Baltimore, Washington, DC and Hershey Park. If you need anything, owners are conveniently located next door to the property. "No Contractors" please. Please be sure to specify if you will be bringing dogs

This farmhouse is the perfect spot for anyone who enjoys kicking back in nature. We met up with our son who was hiking the Appalachian Trail - very convenient. Grilled every night and had a fire while listening to the creek in the evening. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen is adequately stocked for cooking. You can fish practically out the back door! Owners live next door and we're very friendly and helpful.

We had a great stay and the hosts were wonderful. We caught fish and the surrounding area was beautiful. We visited the Pa state museum and state House on a rainy day. It was only about a half hour drive. Worth the trip. We also enjoyed the Pa fly fishing museum and fished the LeTort nearby. The LeTort was a disappointment due to low water levels and Marinaro's Meadow was now right behind a Home Depot so that is kind of a piece of history lost. Time marches on!

Good host, effective communications, easy check in. Property is basic and clean and everything worked. Beds were a little uncomfortable in my opinion and bedding a little worn out but passable. Biggest issue was proximity to the train crossing. It’s obvious by looking at the map that the property is close to the train tracks but it wasn’t clear that it sits right next to the crossing. Every time the train passes through it blows a horn and it is extremely loud which makes sleeping soundly impossible. Also, access to the Yellow Breeches is convenient but the Allenberry, which owns and controls most of the creek adjacent to the house, makes it very difficult to fish that section, as they implemented new restrictions recently.
