Sun Club El Dorado - All Inclusive

I have been 3 times. I think it's a lovely place, great views and value for money. I love a holiday with a swimming pool and the top one (of the 3) is my favourite. Perfect temperature. The apartment was very nice and we had a balcony with a sea view. It was peaceful at night. I know this can differ depending on your neighbours but I guess we were lucky or it has good soundproofing. Food is good. A decent selection of salad bar, bread counter, meat or fish every day (cooked fresh) and help yourself to pasta, chips, vegetables (same choices probably twice per week). Desserts consisted of a selection of 3 ice creams everyday, fruit and an assortment of mini sponge cakes, jelly and mousse. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and help yourself to drinks. San Miguel, white,rose or red wine, fizzy pop, fruit juice, water, tea/coffee/hot chocolate machine. Warm bread served every lunch time. Breakfast - again, plenty of options: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast, toast, cakes/biscuits??, jams. Air con in the room worked well otherwise sleep would have been non existent. It was so nice to get back into the cool room after a hot day by the pool. S'Arenal is a nice beach day out and not too far away. Bus stop is a short walk away otherwise a taxi is approx 25 to 30 euros.

Climbing the hill after going to the bottom pool/nighttime entertainment but we needed to get the exercise so it wasnt such a bad thing. Also worth it for the views when you get to the top. Different story when you are with someone who struggles with walking. Scooter is then a must! Queuing at reception. Takes so long when someone is checking in. It's a shame there isn't a better system for sorting some of the customer queries eg have a phone for customers to use, to order a taxi or box to leave keys when checking out. Drinking out of a plastic beaker. Although, I understand why this is the case (to prevent broken glass around the pool). I would rather swap my cup for a clean one than use the same one for the duration of the holiday. Hardly any sun shade umbrellas around the pool area. Wasps!! They also like the sugary drinks. Say no more. The canteen needs to have more air con or perhaps it just hadn't been switched on when we visited. Tea bags (aka milky water).

It was very relaxing and had the most beautiful sea views. The entertainment switched it up every night and they always did their very best, it was one of the highlights and to this day I still quote , "clappy clappy, wakey wakey" 😅 Food is decent, you will always find something to eat. My family and I knew what we were in for, however, some of the reviews were a bit exaggerated but to each their own. If you go in knowing you're paying for a two star and that the resort is somewhat outdated, you will be fine.

Very far away from the beach and other establishments. The bus fare was 4.50 (and gets cheaper if you pay by card or as a group) which isn't bad, but it made so many stops that it wasn't an enjoyable experience (obviously a personal problem, but if you've got a car or there to relax and get away from busier places, you'll be happy). The food although decent, isn't always the best quality but was okay for the time being. Not the hotels fault, but guests could get rowdy, which was always handled properly but it happened at least 3 time were a guest got so drunk and even started a fight, or was yelling etc.

Pine trees around bungalow,beautiful sea view,,nice big pools,animation team work hard. Place clean,food more than enough,good selection for coctails and other light drinks.

We were with 2 kids,we saw water slides,but in 3 days period newer saw water on them...kids were disapointed for a moment.Evening entertainments were good,just not enough seating for all quests.Nice view from uper terace.

The staff was friendly. The location was good. Parking on location.

It smelled bad, there was lots of humidity. The bathroom was not well cleaned. They don’t offer free wifi which I find ridiculous in 2025 especially that the coverage there is quite bad. We have not used the facilities. The food was mediocre.
