Luz de Luna Tulum PH

Good location in La Veleta, if you like walking. Lots of great cafes, bars, and breakfast spots within 10 minutes, and a 20-minute walk to the center. With InDrive, you can get to Tulum beach in 12 minutes for 150 pesos. The rooftop Pool ist beautiful.

It's extremely dirty, dusty, and greasy. In the shower, bathroom, floor, bedspread and the „private“ outside area. The outdoor area is cleaned all the time for appearances. But inside, it's brutally dirty, even though the furnishings themselves were very nice and stylish. The water in the shower was cold and very little water pressure.

Pool area and top level of room were amazing, really quiet and relaxing, everything felt very clean in common areas. Actual room is very pretty as shown in photos. Reception were great with calling taxis, providing general information etc. Good appliances in the room too.

Other reviews on this property are very misleading - location is terrible with no shops or restaurants immediately close by. Need a taxi (or a high heat tolerance on a bike) to get anywhere at all. As two young female travellers, we didn’t feel safe leaving after 5pm. Police everywhere in the streets. There is no beach club access as advertised, staff at reception had never seen it before. There is also only 1 bed not 2 as advertised. There were 2 power outages during our 5 night stay and the room smelled very strongly of mold. Lots of cat fights outside our room in the night too!
