About this house rental
Welcome to our Shoreview Cottage! This 4 bedroom house is located right on the Great River Road (formerly listed on VRBO as River Road Hideout). We are new owners as of February, 2019 and are excited to have put our special spin on the house.
We've owned the Grandview Motel since 2006 and have an excellent idea of what guests expect. We pride ourselves on providing and immaculate and inviting place to spend your precious vacation time.
One of the favorite features of this property is the large screened in room. Fabulous views of the River where it is 3 miles wide! Also has a 3 person HOT TUB out there and gas firepit. There is ample on-street parking for multiple vehicles.
Another benefit to staying at Shoreview House is the walking proximity to local establishments. Head over to the Swing Inn or the Wooden Nickel for burgers and beers. Boat landing is less than 1/2 mile away. The lucky guests who book for the last weekend of July can watch a spectacular fireworks show put on from the river during Ferryville's River Bluff Daze. Enjoy in the bug-free screened in porch!
New beds in all bedrooms -- 3 queen bedrooms upstairs, and a king bed in the main floor bedroom. All new furniture throughout the house and screen porch.

1/8 of a mile to the boat launch made the location very convenient for our duck hunting. House was comfortable.

We didn't use the hot tub. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and spices. The steps to get into the cottage were a little steep for an 82-year-old, but he made it. My fault, I should have thought about that.

Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. There were a few issues as with anything. Nothing is ever perfect.
In case you aren't aware there is mouse entrance outside and Mr. Mouse was inside. Also the wasps are getting in thru the wall, we think in the bathroom
Some kind of a railing by the door would be a nice safety addition.
Allin all it very nicely fixed up for an older house and very comfortable.
