The hacienda was perfect for me and two friends. We each had our own floor. The home is huge and very well equipped with plenty of space to spread out inside and plenty of outside patios and balconies. Perfect location, very near Buena Vista and yet total privacy and no noise. Gorgeous view of the mountains all around. Amazing sunsets. Sandra was very nice and accommodating. I would love to stay here again.

This hacienda was huge! Every bedroom was exceptionally spacious and so were the bathrooms. For 7 people in the house it never felt crowded. Location was excellent, private and quiet. Working with Sandra was very pleasant and she was very communicative. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a fantastic property with lots of room both inside and out! The home is beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything you need. The kitchen is well outfitted as are all of the bedrooms and baths. The rec room and hot tub were a plus. We will look for this property again if we come back to the area!

The property was perfect for us. My wife and I brought our son and his girlfriend for vacation and felt like we had our own ranch, but we were so close to town and other activities (hiking, whitewater rafting, hot springs, etc.). Sandra was very communicative and helpful throughout our visit…we were there over the 4th of July so she told us about the celebrations and we could even see the fireworks from the house!

My family liked this place so much the first time we decided to stay here again. We were here two years ago on a ski trip with my grand kids. The best review and endorsement of a VRBO rental I think I can give is a repeat rental. We came back again this March and the house and views were just as spectacular as we remembered. Bedrooms, kitchen, baths, gathering rooms were all well done and very accommodating for our group of six. Views from the windows are spectacular and Mount Princeton is in prominent display right out the front door. The hosts/ owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive to questions and concerns, This home, or hacienda, is centrally located in the Arkansas River Valley Our group used it as a base to go to Ski Cooper, Monarch Mountain, and Great Sand Dunes National Park, It would be a great summer location for hiking 14ers like Mt Elbert and Mt Yale, go white water rafting, or visit the Great Sand Dunes National Park It was less than two hours from the Colorado Springs Airport which I prefer over the Denver International Airport. All in all, another great visit to Colorado made better by staying at this wonderful home. Keith, TN

We had a great week at Wagon Trail Hacienda. The house is at least 500 ft from any other dwellings and has great views, especially of Mt Princeton to the southwest. The house is large and grand with many rooms to spread out in. The place was very clean and the kitchen was reasonably set up for cooking The grill worked well and the rear garden and hot tub were delightful. We went whitewater rafting and made day trips to Leadville and Salida. A few nice hikes along the Arkansas River and the mountains as well as a trip to the hot springs made this a good adventure for all.

My extended family of 7 had a wonderful time staying at Sandra and Don's home. The layout was perfect for us to have plenty of space and privacy for my husband and I, our adult children and their significant others. The kitchen was well-equipped and had all that we needed to prepare meals for the group and ample seating at the dining room table. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms quiet and it was great being able to sleep with the windows open. The location was convenient for easily getting into town. Hiking and paddleboarding were just a short ride away and the views were fabulous. Our stay included Independence Day and we were able to see multiple firework displays from the front of the house. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

We had an amazing dinner party for our out of town friends and family at Sandra's property. The home is comfortable and spacious and fit everyone comfortably. We had planned to have the dinner in the GORGEOUS garden but a late snowstorm hit us the morning of and we were able to comfortably accommodate everyone in the large living room. It was perfect, the views from every room are stunning, and we can't recommend the home enough. Thank you so much Sandra and Mr. T!

Stayed at this wonderful majestic home in February on a family ski trip. While the weather was unseasonably cold even for Colorado in the winter time, this house, appropriately designated a hacienda, was warm throughout. There are multiple spacious seating areas, the kitchen met all of our needs, and all the beds were comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the pool table when they could get a cue stick away from the adults. And no matter where you were on the upper two levels, the views were spectacular through the abundance of windows I must repeat myself, the views were spectacular. The home is very convenient to everything in Buena Vista. We were less than an hour from the Ski Cooper Resort and Monarch Mountain would have been less than an hour away as well We had family members conveniently drive in from both Denver International Airport and Colorado Springs Airport. Our host was very responsive by phone, text, and email answering any questions and providing local information. My wife and I, kids, and grandkids, had a winter vacation filled with remarkable memories made even better by staying at this location. Hopefully my group will be able to stay here sometime in the future for a summer vacation Buena Vista is beautiful in the summer and a great place to hike 14ers and go white water rafting. I honestly believe that the only person who would find fault with this heavenly hacienda would be someone who would find fault with heaven itself.

We totally enjoyed our three-night stay. The house is in a private and quiet setting with great views of the mountains. Convenient location for biking and hiking and golf. Enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. Very suitable for a mixed group with varied interests. Owners always available to answer questions. Highly recommend staying here.
