Nice stay but property getting a little shabby

Host and location

There are certain things that need updating, being pans , cutlery, cooker needs a good clean , washing machine door is still broken and was in June so machine could not be used. Bathroom tiles need cleaning. Carpets need cleaning.

DISAPIONTING

Andy the owner seemed a nice man

THE BEDROOM DOOR FELL OFF {ANDY HAS BEEN MEANING TO FIX?] DONT TOUCH BEDROOM TABLE IT MIGHT COLLAPSE? SHOWER MAY OR NOT WORK IF SCALED [FORTUNATELY I DID] THE LOTTERY OF PARKING? YOU HAVE WON IF YOU GET NEAR THE HOUSE ,YOU WONT MISS IT ITS THE ONE WITH ALL THE SCAFFOLD AROUND IT, OR ITS ANYTHING FROM 200 TO 500 YD WALK. THE OVERALL FEEL OF THE FURNITURE IS REALLY TIRED . THE TINY BATH TOWELS THAT HAVE BEEN BOILED DRY GREY AND STIFF AS A BOARD. AS I SAID ANDY SEEMS TO BE A NICE MAN BUT NEEDS TO GET HIS ACT TOGETHER.

Excellent value well appointed house highly recomended

Spacious property with plenty areas to socialise Lounge . Dining room . large exceptionally well appointed Kitchen even a consevetory lots of games and books for guests Fresh Milk in fridge and coffee etc . Neighbours were very friendly and helpful very quiet immaculate residental area a short walk from town centre , close to supermarket and fuel station

Having to head back to Scotland only issue we had was the screws had come loose on a bedroom door {prior to our arrival) but the house was otherwise immaculate and well fitted out

Accomodation, fine but could be so much better

Spacious accommodation, comfortable beds, pillows were great. Furniture quite dated but ok. good location, lovely owner

Lounge furniture very low, not easy to rise from if you're a certain age !! No advance notice that the premises would be covered in scaffolding and roofers would be working (albeit not for all of our stay as it was a bank holiday weekend).

Convenient location, the kitchen was well equipped & the beds were comfortable.

I have asthma & the strong smell of the fabric detergent & conditioner kept me coughing all night ☹️ but that isn’t the host’s fault. I use unscented products at home & will bring my own bedding linen next time.

Like staying in your grandparents home. Location was good for town.

Location was good. Beds comfortable. Bathroom and shower were ok.

Dining room and kitchen felt like there were full of some old persons belongings and really should be cleared up. Conservatory is shared where renter and owner (next door) both having access to respective homes vis patio doors. It wasn't usable as it was full of boxes, a bicycle and other junk. Kitchen cupboards had lots of sauce bottles that looked like they had been there for years and really needs to be cleared. Living room had what appeared to be boxes of video cassette from yesteryear and wall unit was also full of someone's belongings. While parking permit was available the chance of getting a parking space was very limited as it's a very occupied street.

Relaxing nice and central within wali

The light in the house was wonderful. Although a terraced house with the tennis court background the house felt very spacious and the garden safe and enclosed. Andy, the landlord, made himself known to us and was very friendly and helpful with out being intrusive.

cooker top instructions were sketchy although we managed to use the oven.

Very good

Lime House is in the perfect place to get to the train and bus stations and into town. Andy, the host, couldn't be more friendly and helpful, and his tips for places to see were great. The extra space and privacy of having a house rather than a hotel room was great for the day I had to work from there, too.

The location was perfect for the Showground - a very easy drive in the mornings. The property is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants as well.

Excellent location close to the town centre, but still quiet. Friendly and accommodating host who couldn't have been more helpful. House really well equipped with everything we needed.

A slightly odd setup being joined to the owners property via a shared conservatory, but easy to lock the internal door to make it completely separate. Quite a lot of the owners belongings around, which didn't bother us too much, but made it feel a bit like you were in someone's home rather than letting accommodation.

Lime Grove id a charming property & very clean. It’s situated in a quiet location near to Newark centre. The bathroom & kitchen are spacious. The owner who lives next door is very helpful & welcoming.

Was nice and cosy but spacious at the same time. Clean and comfortable and beds were great, we all slept really well.

The kitchen taps were temperamental... Actually gave us blisters turning them on and off.

House had many issues, leaking sink, kitchen tap that sticks, infested with moths,cupboard in dinning room full of bottles of spirits only thankful we noticed as was travelling with young child and WiFi poor

Old fashioned antique and Worn

Unfortunately the advert doesn't mention that the owner lives next door and that you have shared access to the conservatory and garden. He popped round to show face. I'm sure he meant well but I didnt really need showing how to open an unlocked door and what a fridge is for. The house smelt of mothballs/charity shop. Very old fashioned, worn scratched furniture . Not my cup of tea. Couldnt relax .
