About this house rental

The property is located in the community of Zundert, about 5 km away from the centre of Zundert, 15 km from Breda, and 35 km from Antwerp. The independent and classic countryside house (1920) sits in the middle of the wonderful Pannenhoef rural area (about 750 ha), which is property of the Brabants Landschap Foundation ('Brabant Landscape Foundation'). This very complete, characteristic country house is composed of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a royal living room with study area, a spacious eat-in kitchen and a classic Belgian-style dining room, an ample play attic (with a ping-pong table), a garage, and a barn. Several amenities are available, such as a washing machine, dryer, television, landline telephone, and wireless internet. Please see website for background information.

We had a lovely time in the house staying with kids and granddaughter. Kitchen is well equipped. Interior is “in style’ or dated depending on your outlook but worked for us. Great location in forest, generous terrace and massive grounds.

The house is steeped in character. There is plenty of space inside and outside. Especially liked the garage to store our bikes in, and games for the kids, table tennis etc. Never had the TV on all week, weather was fabulous. Lots of walks / bike trails in the Pannenhoef.

A stunning location and an amazing lodge set in the middle of the woods. We felt like we had stepped back in time. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We did not receive instructions from the property manager, but the owner responded quickly to our questions on how to access the house. I wish we could have stayed twice as long, Dank u wel.

We had a great time at De Arendsberg. Check in process is very easy, and contact free. It's an incredible driveway to the house, and it really is a stunning property, very old, with great outdoor space. We did some fantastic walks all nearby. We rented the house to celebrate our daughters 1st bday away from the city, and had a great time. It does have a baby high chair but it does not have a tray or belt. You can hear noises from each others rooms quite easily but this did not bother us. Overall it is a baby friendly house despite not having a baby gate at the top of the steep staircase. Shame we only had one day of sun to make use of the garden! We had a slight issue with the smoke alarm in the kitchen and the property manager Olivia sorted it our immediately after a short phone call. Hope to come back. Thank you!

Very interesting home

The house is very large and a very interesting place to stay. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the lovely china, and the beds and bathrooms were very comfortable. We did not have access to a play attic/ping pong table and the road to access the house is unpaved and was a difficult muddy drive after a heavy snow. There was wine waiting for us and that was a nice surprise. The host checked in with us to make sure everything was fine.

Wonderful

We had a great experience here. Very easy booking and check in. The property manager was available but gave us our privacy. The house is older but beautiful and the grounds are impeccable. It felt like we were visiting friends. We did day trips to Rotterdam and to Brugge, and visited Breda for dinner restaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Absolutely Perfect!

Absolutely Perfect!

We stay in cottages all over Europe and this was one of the best. The house is magnificent and is so big, it has the feel of a rustic hotel all to yourself but also homely. The house was spotless and very well cared for. Even the grass on the huge lawn had been cut the day we arrived. It just felt like home the moment we stepped inside. It is surrounded by miles of peaceful woodland with countless paths to walk and ride cycles. The grounds of the house are vast which is fenced and gated so very secure with an impressive driveway leading upto the house. Everything you could ever need for a comfortable stay is in the house. Although you are immersed in nature staying at the house, you are only 10 minutes from Zundert, the nearest town with lots of supermarkets & shops. The motorway is less than 15 minutes from the house which was welcomed after a long drive. Whilst we didn`t meet our housekeeper, she made sure our stay was the best she could offer and contacted us to make sure everything was ok but gave us privacy to enjoy the fantastic house which we appreciated. Our family had a fantastic time walking miles around the forest then sitting outside as the sun went down just listening to the birds and the peace & quiet. A memorable stay in such a stunning location. Very sad to leave but will be returning. A very well deserved 10/10 and highly recommended!

This was a great accommodation for our small group. The house was as picturesque as it appears in the photos and the area was very quiet with modern amenities. The nature area surrounding it was very nice and well traveled enough to be safe and well maintained but not so busy that it was a problem. In addition the yard had plenty of space and fencing to maintain privacy. Of note, you should have a car to be able to get any food or train access from nearby cities. Breda was very close and was a reasonably sized town. Host was also very responsive to any needs we had and there were no problems during our transaction. Thanks for the accommodations!.

Dit huis ademt historie en sfeer uit. De indeling is apart, het is even zoeken waar alles zit. Over het algemeen ziet alles er netjes en verzorgd uit, op een paar kleine dingetjes na. Het aan komen rijden via je eigen oprijlaan naar deze woning midden in de natuur voelde heerlijk en we hebben het zeer naar onze zin gehad.

Een heerlijke locatie met veel ruimte en rust. Zowel in huis als in de omgeving. Alleen in de vriezer was bijna geen ruimte, lag al veel in. Genoten van deze plek en de natuur. Perfecte locatie.

Wel heel erg gedateerd. Dat de inrichting aangeast blijft aan het oude karakter van de woning is oke. Oude meubelen prima, maar zorg wel dat ze heel en schoon zijn. Kapotte en tot de draad versleten stoelen hoeft voor mij niet. Slaapkamers zijn oke, lekker ruim en schoon, maar beneden en in de keuken is het een ouwe zooi en het was ook niet schoon. Keukenstoelen te vies om te zitten, parketvloer al minstens 15 jaar niet onderhouden, kapotte verwarmingsroosters waar zo doorheen kunt zakken, buitenparasols tot de draad versleten. Voor die prijs zal echt iets meer aan onderhoud gedaan moeten worde.

Komfortabel und gemütlich ausgestattetes (ehemaliges?) Jagdhaus mit vier sehr angenehmen Schlafzimmern. Einzel gelegen auf großem Grundstück mit großer gepflegter Rasenfläche und vielfältigen Sitzplätzen. Genau das richtige für unser Familientreffen.

Bij het aankomen bij de Arendsberg hadden we hoge verwachtingen. Tijdens ons verblijf zijn die verwachtingen meer dan uitgekomen. Een prachtige locatie en een schitterend huis. We hebben ons 50 jarig huwelijk gevierd met onze zonen en schoondochters met heel veel plezier de 4 dagen doorgebracht.
