very disappointed compared to previous visits

food is excellent in choice and volume both for dinner and breakfast

previous stay had rooms in more modern part - this time rooms were in the old section - they were too small, very hot and suffered from very high street noise and generally the decor was tired.

Very bad experience

The room was so old and smell old, the floor was dirty and windows covered with red dirt blanket .the bathroom the same thing and I could not take my bath because the sink was not flowing. Also the sink was shaking so I ran out never went back there till I left in morning not bothering myself to wait for breakfast time which starts by 6am. The lady that gave me the key couldn’t greet me or even look at me in face to see if I have any question. While try to be nice then I asked if I could order some food? After the she answered. I lost my appetite. So Pferd Pizza from outside.

We hadn't anticipated that it was so close to a busy and noisy road. Bed was uncomfortable. The towel rail in the bathroom was hanging off the wall. The TV was jammed on top of the wardrobe

Great stop for overnight stay

Location was great. Close to motorway, short walk into the town (at the end of the street), where there were lots of bars/restaurants, which was a good thing as the restaurant in the hotel was shut as we stayed on a Sunday. Parking available in slots marked 3hours outside hotel, but hotel assured us we could park there as long as we wanted. Restaurant/breakfast room Olde worlde in appearance. Room was clean. Breakfast was excellent. Cereals, cold meats (including smoked salmon), breads, cheeses, pastries, yoghurt, juices tea and coffee. Looks like there is some refurbishment/improvements going on as new wiring etc visible from ceilings. Would use it again for an overnight stop while travelling elsewhere.

Hotel locked upon arrival as it was Sunday. Note on door with a number to call, but it didn't connect for us - tried with/ without international code but nothing worked. Messaged hotel via booking.com and received a swift response from hotel and was able to gain access, which was good. Door locks on rooms were a bit strange - need to swipe key card AND turn the handle to lock the door - thankfully there was a lady in there cleaning so she showed us how it worked. Wifi was not great and was very difficult to log in to due to appearance of page on internet - you couldn't see the writing - this needs addressing for future guests. Toilet in the room we stayed in also needs attention as it just kept running after being flushed.

Breakfast was very good and so was the restaurant. But no elevators and very strange door key system. No air conditioning. Good location. Easy to find with GPS.

Food was superb, most of the staff were great and room was big and modern

Room didn't have blind in bathroom so people could look in, not all windows had curtains so too light to sleep and too hot as opening window meant loud traffic noise. Aircon required because of traffic noise

Dinner was excellent. I had spaetzle with onions and cheese - highly recommend. Beer is ice cold! Pool and sauna. Breakfast is huge. Watermelon, eggs, bacon, fresh breads and pretzels.

Great stay close to town

Big beds, close to city center with free parking. Breakfast was good!

Shower lost a lot of pressure due to some water leakage. Personnel on Friday and Saturday was not friendly at all. Luckily the lady on Sunday had a great smile.

Good ratio of price to quality. The hotel is very "economic". The biggest advantage is the nice staff.

The walls seemed to be built from plywood. Everything was hearable. I was lucky my neighbors were calm :). Although the room was clean, the general condition was on the edge of acceptance.

I was using for business trip and I think it's a good place to stay if your visiting Saarlouis or the region near Luxembourg. The town is very nice, for 35000 people I think it's a very nice town, you find the essence of German/french small towns in Saarlouis. I liked that the manager spoke English and had patience and was very polite and very helpful. I liked that the rooms had eco friendly lightsbulbs. I liked that it was clean It had free parking I liked the breakfast

Fantastic restaurant with great, genuine Saarland food and Saarland beer. Extremely convenient location on the edge of the Saarland's premier party town, but also quiet. Great choice of breakfast food including a fried egg on request.

Our comfy room with its brown/wooden colour and dark pine ceiling cladding was not like the "white" room in the photo. It seemed as though various generations of hoteliers had added their own little bit to the decor - say an avocado bathroom suite, a picture of a young woman bathing, a ceiling light hanging down to where you'd hit your head on it, overheating bedroom lamp, a flat screen television replacing what from the undisguised drill holes, had been a CRT, no bedside electric sockets for our phones.... but given how good the restaurant is we put this down as "quirky".
