We recently stayed at this apartment in Madrid, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was quite disappointing. To start with the good, the location is excellent. It’s in a very central area, close to public transport, shops, and plenty of restaurants, which made getting around the city very easy and convenient. This is definitely the strongest aspect of the property. However, the apartment itself did not meet expectations. It is extremely small, much smaller than it appears in the photos, making it uncomfortable. There is very limited space to move around or store luggage. One of the biggest issues was the bathroom, particularly the shower. The shower door is so tight that it is genuinely difficult to enter and exit. This is not just inconvenient but also impractical and poorly designed. Another important point is the lack of transparency regarding additional costs. Not all expenses were clearly communicated on the booking listing, which is frustrating and feels misleading. Guests should be fully informed in advance about any extra charges. The most disappointing part of our stay was the check-in experience. The property sends numerous emails with detailed instructions and reminders for what seems like a very sophisticated check-in process, yet in the end, they failed to ensure the keys for us to enter and we ended up waiting outside on the street for an entire hour to receive the keys. After traveling, this was extremely inconvenient and left a very negative first impression. In summary, while the location is a major advantage, the small size of the apartment, poor bathroom design, lack of clarity on costs, and especially the unprofessional check-in process significantly impacted our experience.
