This completely remodeled 1BD/1BA condo is located at the famous and storied Ocotillo Lodge, one time exclusive hangout of the glamorous stars of the 1950's and 60's.
Everything in the unit is new, the modern aesthetic works perfectly with the mid-century modern architecture and surrounding complex, which still retains its mid-century charm and Rat Pack Swagger. Mid-Century purists and design aficionados will love this option, as it provides the best of both worlds, with all the modern conveniences.
The living room features a comfortable mid-century modern style sofa , HD SmartTV, and a giant wall of glass facing the large private patio for you to enjoy unobstructed views of Mt. San Jacinto. This particular unit has arguable the best, direct view of the mountain, and becuase the positioning of the Fred Astaire Suite, you have more privacy than all other bungalows in the back of the complex where the patios are smaller & squished together, compromising privacy, noise from neighbors and views. The open kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and all the gadgets you'll need for a weekend or extended vacation. The bedroom also has glass slider access to the patio and a clerestory window with views of the tops of palm trees and beyond. The bathroom has modern dual vanities and sinks with a walk-in shower.
Situated near the NE corner of the complex along William Krisel Way and East Palm Canyon Drive, this 1 bedroom ground floor condo enjoys a private patio larger than most all other units, and is just steps away from parking, making entry and exit much more convenient. If privacy, discretion and VIEWS are important to you, then this is the unit for you!
The Fred Astaire Suite @ the OL is also located just steps from Steve Hermann's iconic L'Horizon Resort and Spa, making lunch, dinner or cocktails among modern day celebrities, Hollywood A-Listers and even former Presidents - a total reality! Other dining options include the uber trendy ACE Hotel’s Kings Highway cafe, Elmer's, Koffi, The Saguaro, El Mirasol and our favorite - Indian Canyons Golf Resort and Club - South Restaurant, open for breakfast and lunch, all within walking or bicycling distance!.
The grounds of the Ocotillo Lodge feature a champagne cork-shaped, heated swimming pool said to be the largest in the entire Coachella Valley. There are also two large, heated spas with outdoor BBQ lounge area, the famous Tiki-style Sunshine Bar where Don Ho would sing his tunes, community laundry and much more. The clubhouse is currently under renovation but the fitness center is open. Enjoy your own private slice of Palm Springs Glamour right here at the Ocotillo Lodge.

We had an incredible stay at this property, the condo was beautifully appointed very clean and very comfortable! The area is so close to downtown Palm Springs. It was perfect for our weekend getaway! We loved it so much. We plan on coming back for the same week next year! Great communication with the owner and the property manager who went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable and accommodated! Can’t recommend this highly enough!!

Quintessential Palm Springs in an authentic mid-century masterpiece - the Ocotillo Lodge. Spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed from kitchen to linens to an enormous patio with views of Mt. San Jacinto. Nestled between two architecturally significant neighborhoods there are many fine walks just outside your door. Nearby Koffi (the local favorite), essential retail and the best diner in town steps away. Highly recommended.

We loved every part of this stay. The host and property manager went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The lodge is a perfect location; the pool is large and had great lounging/seating options. Our unit had everything we needed and more.
