Holiday Inn - the niu, Fury Aschheim Messe by IHG

Staff was helpful, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good enough.

Cosy and well designed hotel. Good for a relaxed night of sleep. Good to go to Munich center if you have a car. Rooms not big but excellent for the value. I would book again.

Location was just 2km away from where we had our main event. By Taxi, By Bus, on foot - all transport modes were used. I can recommend it for anyone visiting Messe Munchen

Spacious room, comfortable bed, good bathroom, great (quiet) location both of the place as well as the room. The underground parking is super and even larger cars find a decent place and it is affordable (10 Euro per night). Check-In was very smooth and the person at check-in (we arrived after midnight) was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere both in the lobby area as well as other public spaces was quite pleasant. The breakfast was rich and of good quality.

I would have liked to give 10 points had it not been for the terrible housekeeping (in our case completely absent) service! Traveling with a 3-year child, I told the reception at 11.00 in the morning (Day 1) if they could please service our room since we were leaving and coming back after many hours. On that same day (August 1) we got back to the hotel at 16.30 and the room wasn't ready yet! The reception Staff showed zero empathy for us even though they did offer a free drink to "compensate" we felt it wasn't enough and we had to wait 30 minutes for the room to be serviced at almost 17.00h! On Day 2 we left the hotel at 10.30 am and told the Staff the same - if they could please service the room and to please AVOID causing us the same inconvenience as on Day 1. No other words were more waste than those.... we got back at 14.30 and the room wasn't ready - again! I then told the housekeeping Staff who were on the same floor to leave it as is since we didn't want to wait again for the room, also considering that some empathy is to be expected when traveling with a small child. Again, no one showed empathy and there were ZERO apologies. We asked them to only empty the bins, which they at least did. Their reason for this was that they "were fully booked", but I can tell you on Day 1 the garage was almost empty whereas on Day 2 they were full as the garage was full of cars. Now with that said, this remains unacceptable! I have never stayed at any hotel where the room wasn't serviced by 16.30 in the afternoon, especially after having MADE THE REQUEST and telling we were leaving the hotel so they knew and could inform the service Staff accordingly. I mean how many requests do they have from people saying they are leaving and the room can be serviced? I really cannot imagine they’d more than a handful. It's really just a matter of setting the correct priorities, and there can be no reason or excuse in such a context.
