Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Cancun Airport

Fairly straightforward shuttle bus collection from Cancun airport, although there was insufficient space on the shuttle for all the guests waiting. Short, 5 mins, shuttle to the hotel. Friendly reception and breakfast staff. Nice room. Good value.

We stay here when we have a flight out of Cancun airport. The shuttle is great and the pool and restaurant are enjoyable.

The free shuttle from and to the airport was very helpful. You need to contact the hotel per WhatsApp to be picked up (no reservations in advance), you may wait up to 45 min to be picked up from the airport but we just waited for 25 min. Reliable service. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We liked that you could make coffee in the room. There is a fitness room and a pool outside. We had dinner in the restaurant and the waiter was very nice and the meal was plenty.

The continental breakfast could be improved (some yoghurt, fresh vegetables like cucumber would be nice and also regional fruits other than banana like mango and pineapple would be great).

The room was comfortable. The morning staff was pleasant. Breakfast was pretty good as well.

The whole reason I booked this hotel was because it offered a free shuttle from the airport. From the moment I arrived at the airport I went to one of the places listed on the site as a shuttle pick up, the welcome bar, and called the front desk to tell them. After an hour I called back and they said the shuttle came and went and said they would send it again and the same thing happened. I called again and they told me to send them a picture of where I was like they didn’t believe me, so I did. I was exactly where it says to wait on the website. Then they tell me the shuttle won’t go there and that’s why I missed it. So after 2 hours of waiting I walked to a different part of the airport and in the meantime my friend who was at the hotel tried to get the ladies at the front desk to help me, but they told her I must be drunk because I was at the bar. The Welcome Bar was the place listed on the website to wait and the place I had told them I had been because that’s where the pick up spot was listed. They were so rude and unprofessional and after I walked to a different part of the airport I couldn’t get back into the area I was originally in, where the shuttle was supposed to pick up in the first place. So I ended up having to pay for a taxi even though the whole reason I booked this hotel was for the free shuttle. The ladies were so rude and at any time could have told me the shuttle didn’t pick up where I had been sitting, but they waited for over 2 hours before telling me. It was all overly frustrating and could have been avoided at any point with a tiny bit of communication.
