A warm and friendly stay

Kim was so friendly and welcoming. The property was small but so well equipped. There were beautiful pictures everywhere and lots of little touches and extras that we didn't expect. Sadly for us the weather was not so good and we couldn't fully appreciate the view or the outside space

Fabulous stay would highly recommend

Everything, the location was fab about 15 mins from fort william. There were added extras like milk, bread, butter and jam, coffee etc which was a really nice little touch. The room was clean, the bed was so comfortable. Honestly couldn't fault this property!

Kim was a fabulous host and has put a lot of effort into making her little ‘Room with a View’ clean and comfortable for her guests. She had warmed the room before we arrived which was very thoughtful .The room had everything and more that we needed for our stay. The bed was so comfortable, the kitchen was really well stocked with utensils and appliances and the shower was so good after a cold day! We even had a comfortable lounge to sit and enjoy the view. And to top it off, Kim was a thoroughly lovely person and very easy to chat to. 😊

Self-contained unit with mountain views

Everything was amazing! Having the opportunity to have a self-contained unit was brilliant, as we were able to cook inside and even BBQ outside! The room was a perfect size for the two of us. We slept well, stored luggage under the bed, and had enough space for food and to play games! I really enjoyed meeting the host, who was happy to chat to us about her life and animals! Having the view of the mountains was the icing on the cake. I would definitely return if I have the chance!

This property is heaven on Earth! I wanted a simple, small room and I got a small paradise for 3 weeks. Everything you need is there. And if it isn't, Kim will fix it. I didn't need to go shopping for food on day 1 - it was all there. You can use the washing machine in the garage. You can cuddle the dogs and cats - if you want to. Such lovely and friendly ones. Kim is an amazing host!

Location was excellent, the view was beautiful. The host was very welcoming. The lodge was warm, comfortable and had everything I needed. There was plenty of parking space and the whole experience was very relaxing

Very comfy and Kim has made sure the room is well equipped with as many essentials as we need. Very comfy bed, beautiful spacious shower and Kim is just so lovely and kind! Xx

The main attraction was the view of the mountains, which was amazing. It's a shame that the new houses spoil it a little, but sitting on the sofa we could ignore the rooftops and just see the mountains and some glorious sunsets. Bathroom was small but adequate and shower was great. Kim was a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and lovely to chat to. Outdoor area was lovely, but unfortunately the weather did not allow us to make use of it. We didn't want to drive during our stay, and with the train station being so close, and the great bus routes available, we didn't need to. There is a lot more provided in the cabin than the photos suggest - if Kim puts any more in there it will need an extension! The outside area is also more contained now than shown on the photos, with log fencing surrounding the cabin, making it feel more self-contained. Self-catering so no breakfast provided, but we had a lovely walk each day to The Bridge Cafe which we can highly recommend (not as close as the cafe at the visitor centre, but worth the extra walk - we even went back one afternoon for their homemade cake). The Spar in the village was very well stocked. The cabin was surprisingly clean considering it is a shipping container - I had to deal with one eight-legged friend and relocate him out the window, but that's less than we get at home! We almost ended up taking a stowaway home, a very friendly cat that wanted to explore our car when we were packing up!

It would be great to have a gate into the cabin area that didn't involve going through the main yard - we are both wary of dogs and we were a little apprehensive going in to the yard, although Kim was great at trying to keep them away or in the other garden when we were coming and going. They were very friendly dogs and had great recall, just one was quite scary with his bark, so if you are a dog lover you will be fine. For me having been bitten a couple of times, I just get scared quite easily, so a separate access would have made me feel more comfortable.

Superb!

I had such a lovely stay at the Room with a view. It had everything I required for a few days, the bed was comfortable, a good-sized bathroom with a great shower and plenty of hot water, a well-equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor seating area. Unfortunately the weather was not kind during my stay however the room was so cozy and I loved listening to the rain on the roof. My host Kim was exceptionally kind and helpful and gave me the warmest of welcomes. The surrounding area is brimming with things to do. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Room with a view.

Exceptional

The location of Room with a View was exactly what we wanted, it is less than 20 mins to Ben Nevis which is why we were in Scotland. Kim went above and beyond for us during our stay and she was so friendly and welcoming. Room with a View is so cosy and we would definitely stay again!

Absolutely lovely!

the cabin was spotless clean. the shower was very nice. It has all you need for a few days away. The host was absolutely lovely and gives the extra miles to make you feel welcome and comfortable. its situated close to the walking trails and the views over Ben Nevis and his brothers and Sisters from the terrace are gorgeous! I can highly recommend this adress! Do pack light, for there is not so much space for your luggage, bur that is a part of the charm.

Absolutely perfect stay with everything you could possibly need and the space so lovingly designed, the whole stay was exceptional in every sense, Kim is so lovely, we're so glad we found Room with a view, so much so we will be returning in the summer.

A great find in a peaceful setting with beautiful views. The accommodation was equipped with everything that you need to be comfortable for the duration. Little touches throughout, from items in the fridge, to a selection of shower items. The host Kim, was very accommodating and let us check in early. We have already booked to return again next year.

Cosy Gem.

Loved it, was a very cosy place to stay and had everything I needed during my stay and more. There was food & provisions on my arrival too, Kim is a very friendly and kind host. Instant hot water and a good shower were something to look forward to after a day in the hills. It's perfectly placed for exploring the area too. I hope to go back.

Accomn is intriguing and a lot of work has gone into making it very comfortable and habitable.

Breakfast not provided because the accommodation was self-catering. We took the food we knew we would need with us, but our host had already provided the basics which would have kept us going had we not. She was friendly and helpful and made sure we knew we only had to ask if there was anything we needed that had not already been provided.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. No complaints.

What an unusual place to stay. We were very cosy. There is everything you need to self cater and a lovely view while washing up. Really good shower. Very friendly kind owner. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for the welcome and all the milk ,juice, bread etc and coffee machine and pods.

That we didnt stay longer than 4 nights. Not the owners fault but some biulding work going on nearby although not particulaly noisy.

INCREDIBLE

Everything about this property was amazing. Who would have thought that a shipping container could house such great facilities. Modern bathroom with power shower, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable double bed. Location was amazing, very peaceful and tranquil and the host Kim was just the perfect host, very friendly and helpful. Will most definitely be returning 👍👍👍

We had three nights at Room with a view and we enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Room with a view was really clean and it had everything you needed. Kim the host is a fantastic person and so friendly and it was lovely to meet her two dogs and two cats. The shower is really big and very powerful. You can walk to Spean Bridge shops as just a few minutes walk away. We would definitely go back.

That's easy as there wasn't anything we didn't like about Room with a view it was perfect for our break,
