Steps to Convention Center, Downtown DC, and Metro Station: Private and Comfortable Bedroom/Bathroom

We got a really good time. The property is very near of attractions and we felt very safe

The lack of air-con, the misleading pictures of the lounge and kitchen. There isn't any air-conditioni going in thebroom: it's just a blower, which unfortunately wasn't sufficient amidst the super hot weather. We couldn't use either the lounge or the kitchen, so I don't really know why they are posted.

Great location and very friendly and helpful host. It was perfect for my 1 night stay in DC, but I would not want to stay for an extended period of time, as you're renting a 2nd floor bedroom and bathroom in someone else's house without a separate entrance, so it is a bit strange (for me). If I needed to spend a night in DC, I would stay here again.

The accommodation was disappointing in several areas. The soft furnishings, including the bedding, towels, and cushions, were dated and in need of replacement. The towels were old and not soft, and the bath mats were not clean. There was a lot of mould around the shower, which made the bathroom feel unhygienic. Only one toilet roll was provided, and when I checked the cupboard under the sink, it was filthy and contained rubbish and old toiletries from previous guests. In addition, the underfloor heating was overpowering with no apparent way to control the temperature, which made the stay uncomfortable. Overall, the property needs better cleaning and maintenance to meet a reasonable standard.
