About this cottage rental
Cave house equipped with all the modern conveniences in an old aboriginal troglodyte village. Temperature of 18/24 degrees Celsius inside the house throughout the year. Hammocks on the terrace ... wonderful views .... patio with oven and barbecue ..... hiking trails from the same door. 10 minutes from Artenara and 40 minutes from La Aldea Beach. A place to rest and reconnect with nature and with you. It is prepared for long stays.
Views to the Great Caldera of Gran Canaria. The Nublo and Bentaiga rocks in sight and in front of the Cave.

The kitchen ... the master bedroom and the living room have indirect lighting to make the rooms more cozy.

You have a collection of cactus in the yard and a pot with mint so you can prepare your favorite mojito.

DISTANCES
It takes an hour to get from the airport ... the roads have very good firm and guardrails ... but there are many curves .... prudence and patience on the road.
OTHER FEATURES
There is a hair dryer .... microwave and radiators for superfreighters in all rooms, including the bathroom.
You will find wooden walking sticks in the living room. The outdoor patio accommodates 8 people seated .. there is a teak table .... two teak chairs ... and two large jarapas to put cushion around the teak table. The breakfasts watching the Roque Nublo and Bentaiga are unforgettable.

Food stores Pharmacy ... post office ... ATM, s ... restaurants, bars, gas stations and doctors in Artenara and Tejeda
In Artenara there is a life support unit of the Canary Health service.
The cave house has a clothes shop outside the sun.
The island has hundreds of marked trails ... especially in the northern area ... it is the island of mountain racing and a paradise for bikers.
You can see in the neighborhood how life is in caves ... because the whole neighborhood is excavated in the mountains. There are caves painted white in the lower part of the neighborhood that have been acquired by the Canarian Government to protect their archaeological remains. We all live in the bowels of the earth.

HOW TO EAT
From the airport you must take a rental car and make the ascent to the house through the towns of Ingenio .... The Passage .... Hunters ... Weaves ... Artenara and Acusa Seca. It is advisable to deviate to see the Island towards the Pico de las Nieves ... highest point and must visit.
If you come from the capital ... Las Palmas de Gran Canaria .... you must take this route: Guanaterme ... Arucas .... Valleseco .... Artenara .... Accuses Dry ... There are fewer curves than by Tejeda.

The location is pure magic! The cave itself a wonderfull experience. The contrast between the pureness of the cave and the warm mixture of the interior. And the superb care and attention in all details to make you feel home and very comfortable! Whatever you wish is there, toaster, blender, nespresso etc

During our summer holidays we stayed in the Cave of Silence in the center of Gran Canaria. It is an ideal base to explore the island, specific for walkers and nature lovers. And of course for those who want to escape the stress of the city and look for silence! In the run-up to the hollidays José Manuel, the owner of the Cave, informed us attentively about the route, walks and interesting “must visit" locations and shops near the Cave. The Cave itself is cozy furnished and equipped with all conveniences you need: Away from the busy world you even stay connected through Wifi! The most breathtaking aspect of the Cave is the location and the view you have. A sunrise or sunset view on the Nublo, Frog and Monk is mindblowing. Sitting on a sunchair, drinking a glass of wine makes you feel like the richest man or woman on the world. The photo's speak for them selves. José, we will visit your beautiful Cave of Silence in future for sure. Thanks to you and your team for your hospitality!
