We are pleased to connect our guests to a range of wellness solutions (at cost) at or easily accessed from the villa. These include yoga, massage, private tennis sessions/lessons, cycling (road, mountain and electric bikes), hiking (including organised walks), gym and sports.
For those guests celebrating special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, we have helped to organise a private chef at the villa and live music with a fabulous singer. Previous guests have described these occasions as "magical”.
Las Mariquitas (see photo of Daily Mail article) is the perfect luxury holiday destination for families and groups offering wonderful fully-equipped accommodation with 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a large heated pool, free WiFi and beautiful gardens. It sits in a magical elevated position with stunning scenery provided by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Mediterranean.
Las Maraquitas is only a 1.6km walk from the white Andalucian village of Frigiliana, regularly voted Spain’s prettiest village, and a 5-minute drive from the lively beach town of Nerja. There are many local attractions and amenities to enjoy including an extensive restaurant selection.
The villa offers a range of guest accommodation, 4 bedrooms in the Main villa, including a studio apartment with separate garden access, and a 2 bedroom apartment located with the pool.
A special feature of the property is its pool, possibly the largest in the area, and measuring 18m x 6m. The terrace surrounding the pool benefits from a gentle breeze on hot days and is well-equipped with sun loungers (12), parasols and outdoor shower. The pool house includes a bathroom, washing machine, dishwasher, kitchenette and towel store. This opens to a shaded veranda, adjoining the pool, with 12-seater dining and gas barbeque. An additional charge is required for pool heating and is not typically needed mid-June to mid-September.
The large landscaped garden has a striking variety of foliage including lawns, orchard and feature palms /trees. A gated in-out driveway has space for several cars along with a large portico. The villa, pool, and gardens have a very private nature and are not overlooked by the neighbouring properties.
On entering the property guests are greeted with a beautiful mountain and sea view. The large living room includes comfortable sofas / chez longe and 4K TV with international channels.
The spacious kitchen has a traditional large Spanish oven (electric and gas) with all mod cons provided such as fridge/freezer, drinks fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. The dining room features indoor dining for 12 opening to a large shaded terrace and a large outdoor dining table. Close by is a further BBQ (charcoal) and cooking area.
Upstairs, the master bedroom, with super king sized bed, has a private terrace with incredible views and is served by a bathroom with a large bath and separate shower. Conveniently close to the master bedroom is a further twin bedroom (double and single bed), perfect for children or adults alike. A double bedroom (king size bed) /bathroom suite is located on the ground floor providing level access from the front entrance.
At garden level, there is a well-equipped studio apartment suite with twin beds, kitchenette (no hob), living area and shower room. An adjacent al fresco dining area is perfect for a garden breakfast.
The two-bedroom newly refurbished pool apartment offers easy pool and garden access and an additional degree of privacy from the main villa. It includes double and twin bedrooms, a lounge / dining area (6 seats), TV with international channels, kitchen, cloak and shower room with its own terrace and fantastic views.

Wonderful house. We were there in week 7. We had a great stay. The pool is perfect both warm and you can actually swim due to the length of it. The different houses works really well and the outside areas are shielded from wind and has many nice sun areas even in winter

We had the most amazing week. The villa is clean, comfortable and set in a beautiful location with amazing views. It’s an extremely quiet location but is set perfectly for those who wish to explore. Frigiliana is less than 5 minutes by car (there are very reliable taxis and a bus stop just outside the villa too) and Nerja less than 10 minutes. We hired cars, which were useful for the supermarket, but otherwise we made use of the bus and taxis to get around. The villa was so well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The beds and linen were so comfortable. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! The pool was absolutely amazing! We spent every day by the pool, and having the pool house is a god send with toilet facilities and kitchen meaning we didn’t need to keep walking up to the main house. We even swam at night time! The owner, Andrew, was fantastic at communicating prior and post stay, and Oscar was always on hand at the villa if we needed anything. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

What a fantastic Villa. The photos and description on the Vrbo property page show off how fantastic this villa with its secluded location and those brilliant mountain views that make this Villa such an outstanding place to holiday but to be honest no photo can truly capture the splendour of La Mariquitas it has to be seen to fully appreciate what a splendid holiday destination this is. We have stayed in many villas across the whole of Spain but this villa far out passes any of these previous locations by miles. There were 9 adults and one 3 year old in our group and at no time did we feel limited on space. The pool is the largest we have ever had the use of and gated for extra security. The pool is well maintained and warm with plenty of sunbeds with areas of sun and shade. The quality of fixtures and fittings provided that extra level of luxury. The place is very well equipped and we found everything we required. With the town of Frigliana just up the road and Nerja just a short drive away you have all you need on your doorstep but the added bonus you have that quite isolationAndrew our host has been absolutely brilliant answering any question I asked promptly and the pre-joining information he provided answered so many questions before we arrived. He said we would not be disappointed with the Villa and he was so right. Oscar the property manager was there to meet us on a arrival and provided a comprehensive tour of accommodation and facilities

Large group so perfect size villa however the garden apartment was very disappointing it was not very clean and needs updating but other than that the family enjoyed it
