About this house rental
Brand new apartment with panoramic view on the island of Elba, very quiet and with complete privacy, you can relax in the large garden looking at beautiful sunsets every evening. We are located in one of the most peaceful cliffs of Piombino, close to everything, especially to the beach! The city center is within walking distance and is the ideal place for a day trip to the Island of Elba and Pianosa both full of unforgettable places.
The apartment is located on a cliff.
Just along the cliff you can find an almost private beach surrounded by turquoise waters, other beaches are nearby. A short walk will take you to restaurants, shops and boat and bike rentals. We are very close to the port of Piombino where if you wish you can embark to reach the precious island of Elba, the amazing Sardinia & Corsica and last but not least the gem of Pianosa.
The apartment has its own private entrance. The bedroom has two single beds that can be joined together to make a double bed, as it suits you, this is an excellent solution if you are a family with children or just more friends. Bed sheets are included. The bathroom with a shower is equipped with towels, toilet paper and hand soap.
There is a large, very bright room with a living area, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen has been equipped with all the equipment and tools necessary to cook a gourmet dinner. We also supply basic spices, coffee, tea bags, salt, olive oil, 2 liters of drinking water, dishwasher. In the living room we have a sofa that can be used as a double sofa bed. Outside you will find a dining table with a sun umbrella we also created a corner with cushions and a hammock to relax and enjoy the view.
A barbecue is free, available on request.
Washing machine is available at an additional price of € 5

Wir sind sehr nett empfangen worden und die Wohnung ist bestens ausgestattet. Es gab sogar Badetücher und einen Sonnenschirm für den Strandbesuch. Von der großzügigen Gartenterrasse hat man einen traumhaften Blick über das Meer auf Elba. Das Zentrum von Piombino erreicht man zu Fuß in ca. 15 Minuten. In der Umgebung lässt es sich auch schön und abwechslungsreich wandern.

Super ausgestattete Wohnung mit sehr netten Gastgebern. Die Toskana ist ein wundervolles Reiseziel und hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Schön wäre es gewesen schon im Exposé zu erkennen gewesen wäre, dass es sich um eine Souterrain-Wohnung handelt.

Die Vermieter sind wirklich super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eine Kommunikation ist zwar nur auf Italienisch möglich, aber wenn es nicht mehr weiter ging, hat der Google Übersetzer stets geholfen. Die Lage ist ebenfalls top, mit direktem Blick aufs Meer und Elba. Zu Fuß braucht man etwa 20 Minuten in die Altstadt von Piombino, wo es eine große Auswahl an guten Lokalen gibt. Man muss allerdings auf dem Rückweg dann wieder den "Berg" hoch. Für uns war es kein Problem, aber man sollte es wissen.
Nun zur Wohnung. Diese ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr geräumig. Der Garten ist ein Traum und man kann Abends den Blick auf Elba von der Liege aus genießen.
Ein echtes Problem war aber für uns, dass es nicht möglich ist, die Wohnung einigermaßen zu lüften. Wir hatten 2 Woch mehr als 30 Grad und konnten am Ende kaum noch schlafen. Die einzige Möglichkeit, Frischluft in die Wohnung zu bringen, ist die Eingangstüre, sonst gibt es nur noch ein kleines Fensterchen in einen Innenhof. Tagsüber macht Lüften keinen Sinn und Nachts kann man ja nicht die komplette Wohnung, die direkt vom Garten aus zugänglich ist, offen lassen. Ausserdem wird vom Vermieter empfohlen, die Türe geschlossen zu halten, damit keine Mücken und andere Tiere (??) hereinkommen. Lüften ist also tatsächlich gar nicht möglich.
Aufgrund der hohen Temperaturen ist es schon eine Herausforderung, einigermaßen erholsam zu schlafen. Oft ist es uns nicht gelungen und wir verbrachten die Nächte schweißgebadet.
Schade, sonst ist es eine traumhafte Wohnung mit wirklich sehr, sehr netten Menschen.
