Hotel Castello Di Sinio

Stunning property in the heart of the Barolo region. Super helpful staff - the manager gave us an orientation to the area on arrival, accompanied by a local sparkling wine, and organized dinners and car transfers for us at two local restaurants. (The hotel restaurant was closed the two nights were we there.) Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was superb.

Le calme, les vues, l’incroyable gentillesse du personnel, l’atmosphère du site. Un vrai sentiment d’être accueilli chez quelqu’un. Nous sommes restés 4 jours et j’ai bien aimé la localisation comme point pour se balader dans la région.

La note globale est excellente parce que notre expérience était vraiment sympa. Mais j’ai des remarques pour que les gérants améliore qq points…. Petit déjeuner: Génial et très complet. Servi à table. Mais dans ce type d’établissement et en 2026, la clientèle s’attend à ce qu’on lui demande si elle veut des œufs ou non, avec du bacon ou non. Il y a des végétariens, des envies différentes. Service à table: OUI. Mais il faut proposé plusieurs options. Peu de travail.. juste un peu d’organisation et de réflexion. Piscine: il faut absolument changé le mobilier autour de la piscine. Il part en lambeau. Ça n’a pas du tout était gênant pour nous. Mais ça n’est pas au niveau de ce type d’établissement.

Lovely place to stay. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and quality service. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was very tasty. Right in the heart of Barolo region, very convenient to explore wineries.

Food is excellent

We made the mistake to bring our little puppy dog, didn't really check pets policy. Our fault. The owner really hates dogs. She was clearly after us and fixated on the dog although he is a baby and is well mannered and very discreet - he didn't do anything wrong or disturbed anyone. Honestly we didn't find the level of hospitality we've always found in Italy. The owner is not Italian and that makes a big difference. We had to leave after 1 day as she was so upset about the dog she requested first thing in the morning to change the room (for no good reason as nothing happened in the room) and to leave one day earlier. She asked us to pay extra fee for new room and extra fee for cleaning (sheen dropped the latter at the end). Again that's her right not to like dogs - and it was our fault not checking the policy - but we've never seen someone with such hard feelings about puppy dogs. It tells a lot...
