It was no thanks to booking .com who caused us a week of anxiety as they kept saying my credit card was rejected by the property, which was a lie. No useful answers to my question to booking.com. It was only by getting in contact with the property that they took the credit card details on arrival and it’s not the first time they have done this! If the card was unacceptable why was l still using it before and after? Sort your game out booking.com

Cooking smells from the Main Street in the evening, but to be expected. Being careful leaving and entering the property and l would be doubly careful at night, but that’s not the properties fault.

Large comfortable flat in a great place.

Safe, large, comfortable and very well located. We had a great few days and this was the ideal base.

Nothing springs to mind. One lift was out of use but this made us use the stairs all the time which was good for us.

A perfect fit for purpose property and value for money. Good location , very prompt responses and good communications. The arrangements for picking keys was well organised as we arrived late afternoon. A very clear set of instructions available at the property which also included recommendations for local eateries, groceries and sight seeing suggestions. Overall a great experience staying at the property

Not much to say here, except may be the bathrooms could be made more user friendly. They were no handles in the bathroom door to close it ripely nor ability to latch it from inside. Also the shower space could do with some soap rack. Other than that an excellent property

Spacious apartment in a great location

The property was really well located, spacious with good amenities and fabulous views of the ocean. Apart from one problem, the hosts were very receptive throughout the booking process and whilst we were there.

The backup generator did not work when we had unexpected load shedding and despite contacting the host and being assured someone would come the next day to sort it out no one turned up. Luckily it only lasted another couple of days but given the name of the property this was disappointing. The showers were also not as clean as they should have been and the apartment is tired looking. The host was advised of the first two matters and says they will be attended to.

A lovely place close to the Waterfront, shops and restaurants.

The rooms were very comfortable and everything we needed was there. Nice location close to the waterfront and shops in the surrounding areas. Beds were very comfy.

The name on bookings.com does not match what is on the building. We ended up at Bakoven at Atlantic Sea View apartments. The name on booking.com is Atlantic Sea View as well, but the building at 301 Beach Road is called Kingsmead, so that caused a lot of confusion and extra money spent on Ubers trying to find it. It should read correctly on Booking.com. Also, when we booked on Booking.com they quoted us R3800 then when we had to pay the amount over it suddenly jumped to R4500. This should not happen. There is also quite a bit of mold in the bathrooms, The entrance and inside balcony leaks when it rains so the apartment needs a bit of maintenance.

1. No air condition - got extremely hot in the bedrooms - there is one machine in living room but it’s very loud so useless for bedrooms 2. Everything is a bit run down, needs updating 3. Technician needed to come for washing machine while we were there - these things should be scheduled when guests are not there 4. Not accommodating regarding late check out (despite no guests arriving on the day we left) 5. Cleaning only once during more than one week stay

Comfortable albeit a few minor hiccups.

The apartment was well located, comfortable and had an partial views of both the ocean and the mountain. The facilities in the apartment were more then adequate.

I was disappointed that the washing machine did not work and that there was no dryer. Also the shower heads in the both showers need to be replaced as they leaked badly and were not as effective as it should be. We were also not able to gain access to the apartment via the main pedestrian gate and had to use the parking garage. Also the elevator in the parking garage did not work on various occassions during power outages and we had to wait for a resident to gain access to the other elevator.

Bed in second bedroom is very old and uncomfortable. Pillows provided were very old. The property agent was kind enough to provide some when I complained. the apartment in an old building so bathroom fittings etc are quite old. Dishwasher is very far from kitchen sink making it difficult to pack. Lift does not work during power failures. Only 1 back up light provided.

The beginning was good but the end was not pleasant

The location was fine but what was advertised on Booking.com was a different apartment that i was told had been allocated to another visitor. Much as this was disappointing my stay was cool

Before i travelled i requested the owners by both the e-mails and WhatsApp messages that the checkout time was too early as we had travelled to celebrate a friend's birthday on 18th June so waking up on the morning of 19th could be a challenge. I was promised that was to be handled BUT i was disappointed when we were forced to moveout by 10am. My effort to request for an extra hour was futile as these people insisted on our leaving as that early. Even in big hotels once you request a not exaggerated checkout time it is always granted. My colleagues were NOT happy with this act as it was unhuman not forgetting it was winter time for people who were celebrating the previous night. Besides, i paid my deposit by cash but it took a whole week and messages for this to be refunded.

Beautiful capetown seapoint appartment

Perfect location, perfect view, very spacious, all grocery and restaurants are closeby with an access from the building. Check in and check out was super smooth.

For deposit refund, the agency asked me for CVV of my credit card which isnt a practice around the world. However, they listened to me and sent a POS at checkout.

A comfortable stay in a perfect location.

Self-catering, so no breakfast. We love the location and the apartment was spacious.

When you book a penthouse, there is a level of luxury one expects; this was not the case. Also, by booking a penthouse, we expected it to be the very top floor, but it was not communicated to us, that we would be on the fifth floor - that was disappointing. There was an expectation that for the price we paid, the apartment would have been serviced, which it was not - and only when I enquired, were we told that it could be arranged, at an extra fee. They did however, send a courtesy cleaner, once only, who also changed the bed linen and supplied fresh towels. Hence, had I not enquired, we would not have had fresh linen or towels for the duration of the nine nights. For the price and at a penthouse, for me, this does not meet expectations. Regarding the cleanliness - the fabric sofa and cushions were shabby and needed cleaning; the shower floors needed a deep clean too, and blinds and the top of cabinets were dusty. Also, the main en-suite did not have towel rails at all.

wifi connection was a problem from time to time. They tried to repair it but it cost us R1 250 calling out a technician who did not help at all. In the end a doggle was used but it remained problematic

Außergewöhnliche Lage, sichere Anlage, wunderschönes Apartment

Sichere Anlage mitten in Sea-Point. Um die Ecke gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Spar, Checkers) und viele Restaurants. Das Penthouse ist großzügig, schön eingerichtet, Küche voll ausgestattet. Vom Balkon hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Meer, das nur wenige Schritte entfernt ist. Man kann direkt an der Seepromenade bis zur V&A Waterfront spazieren, wenn man sich die Zeit nimmt. Um die Ecke ist auch eine Haltestelle des Hop-on-Hop-off-Busses.
