About this house rental

Country retreat in Kempner, Texas. 200 acres of beautiful countryside nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Secluded cattle ranch off main county road with a three bedroom home surrounded by a wet weather creek, pecan and oak trees and a plentiful native grass landscape. Observe and photograph plentiful wildlife such as deer, turkeys or an occasional wild hog while hiking amongst the creeks and draws or native pasture lands. Enjoy the serenity of the country life coupled with majestic views of morning sun risings while enjoying your coffee and country breakfast, falling sun sets and shining moon light stars while relaxing to a sizzling camp fire after enjoying BBQ. Great way to get away from the city hustle and bustle to bond and relax with family and friends.

Amazing Country Escape

Amazing Country Escape

This place was perfect for our family to get away and experience country living. We explored the beautiful property, played in the creek and spent hours sitting on the back porch. The beds were perfect, lots of towels and linens, basic necessities in kitchen. Tina is a wonderful host that communicates quickly. We hope to stay again someday.

We had a great time at this cattle ranch, the kids especially. They were eager to go outdoors and explore the loop up on the ridge and see how the herd would move from field to field. The house was plenty big enough for the six of us, and we sure enjoyed the quietness at night. The hosts were easy to communicate with, and even returned a forgotten item by one of our kids - and they denied payment for the shipping. For the next family event in Lampasas and we will return here.

The property was peaceful and exactly as described. We enjoyed watching the stars at night by the fire. The house was big enough for me and my three grown sons. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We had several questions prior to our visit and the owner responded quickly. There were no issues during our visit and we really enjoyed our visit.

This house looked ideal from the pictures. However, when we arrived the creek was dried up, there were wasps swarming the house (my son was attacked just walking outside), the a/c broke twice (it was 85 degrees) and there were scorpions and spiders everywhere inside the house. This house could be great place with some work. My family was just ultimately disappointed and left a day early because we were all miserable.

If you want peace and quiet from the city, this is the place to be. You have a big house all well prepared for you and outdoor grilling ready to use. This place is good for those wanting to see nature also, we saw deer; turkeys; cattle; squirrels; and other little creatures in the wild. The creeks are easy access to walk around the 200 acres of land. Great for outdoors people, who want to explore. If you got a truck or utility vehicle, it would be better to drive around. We took our car which was fine but I would have preferred a truck or utility vehicle.
