Lovely, newly renovated accommodation in very pretty grounds. The owner and staff are all delightful and helpful. It's well worth borrowing the boat or kayak to explore the river. The local town of Niort has an excellent market for fresh food and there are several places for day trips, including La Rochelle, the nearly canal network and Futuroscope. Lovely holiday, thank you Pierre and Sébastien!
The swimming pool was great but could have done with some fencing or an enclosure to make it safer for little ones to play outside.
