About this apartment rental
A recently restored and exclusive apartment in a wing of the medieval castle of Robella. The castle was originally built in the XIIIth century by the counts of Robella. Over the centuries it has undergone many vicissitudes, wars, sieges and has been transformed and expanded in accordance with the changing needs of the family. The property has always remained in the same family.
On the ground floor the kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed which accommodates two persons and a little bathroom. A staircase leads on the first floor to the master bedroom and a spacious bathroom. A private entrance from the park of the castle leads into the apartment. The apartment is spacious and furnished with antique furniture. It is particularly suitable for a couple or for a family with one or two children who want to enjoy a peaceful vacation. A large swimming pool (Lago di Codana) is available in the nearby village of Montiglio.
Robella, is a small village on top of a hill (420 meters above sea level) and is a good starting point for hiking, visits of artistic monuments, wine and culinary tourism.
It is easily reachable by car from the airports of Turin (1h) or Milan (1.30h).
The location enables you to enjoy a peaceful vacation in a protected environment perfectly safe from the point of view of the current pandemia.

We had a wonderful stay at the castle. It was a romantic and unique experience. We received a warm welcome with a bottle of wine and a tour of the castle. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The apartment is clean and fully equipped. There are several walking routes around the village, a really nice place!

It was so hard to leave the castello di Robella…my husband, our corgi Gi and I found an oasis of serenity in the striking natural beauty of Piedmont’s Monferrato area and at Prof. Cotto’s Castello di Robella, a castello that has been in his family for 700 years. The apartment created within the manor complex was inviting, with ancient architectural elements balanced for comfort with a recently renovated kitchen and bathroom. The gracious welcome of our host ( the bottle of wine was a lovely surprise!) and the attentiveness to our needs while he himself was on holidays himself was most appreciated. His onsite assistant, Cinzia, quickly came to our rescue with answers to any questions we had, and was a delight to interact with. Arriving quite frazzled from demands of daily life, being able to walk in the castle park or read sitting under ancient towering trees with only the sounds of birds and cicadas calmed our spirits… and our dog delighted in exploring the castle grounds unleashed, thanks to the gated and fully fenced property. A final delightful meal of Piedmont specialities at Restaurante Da Maria topped off a wonderful 5 day stay. We will be sure to return to Castello di Robella - grazie mille per tutti!

Wonderful, a step back into the old world with modern comfort, restored with taste and quality, maintaining the original character and charm. Full of history dating back through the crusades, the province of Asti with its wines and castles is a destination of very high world class. Loved everything about our stay and castle Robella
