The location was excellent, rooms had air conditioning, lots of excellent restaurants nearby so we didn't end up cooking anything. You are right in the heart of the Port houses so lots of tours and tasting sessions available.
Minor things only, such as the coffee maker not working and batteries missing from the TV remote (luckily there were batteries in the air conditioning remote). One other thing to note was that there were no local supermarkets open on a Saturday evening or Sunday, so had to walk into Porto for basics.

Location if you want to explore port wine is excellent. Parking is very close, only 3-4min walk. Many restaurants nearby
Small rooms and the beds are quite small for two people. The bathroom is also small and the toilet is really squashed between the wall and the shower screen. The coffee machine didn’t work. Be aware that there are quite few steps to reach the apartment if you travel with big suite cases. The access to the property is via a web link, so make sure that you have roaming data turned on if you travel from abroad. Not much communication with the host, except that you receive a lengthy email with do’s and dont’s prior checking. You have to do online checking, filling a lot of information for every member of the group and that’s quite annoying especially if you are on a road trip like our case. If you don’t like all this, then the place is a good option, but I personally, will go to a proper hotel and wouldn’t mind paying extra 30-40 euros just to have a hassle free checking experience and a better comfort.
