Bad experience and absolutely don’t recommend

Unfortunately for us nothing.

The first thing they ask us upon arrival is 350€ worth of hold money if not we cannot stay there although we had paid via booking prior but they wanted to hold it in case of damage… on top of that they don’t include your final cleaning upon check out and said they wanted everything clean the floors the whole Place “just as we found it so there aren’t any problems” so it wasn’t a very warm welcome for Us nor relaxing to say the least, if not they said they would detract money from the money we gave them. The bungalow was filled with ants, the kitchen had loads of them when we called it out they said it was like that and just left a barely empty bug spray. Location was really useless in the middle of nowhere but this is our fault as we thought it was a good spot for the canyon which it wasn’t cause it’s about 1.5 approx away. Will not recommend and will not be back

Great stay at a small friendly campsite in a lovely location

Very warm welcome from Eric and Sonia, great large mobile home in a private location, very clean and well equipped. The campsite has a small pool which we made good use of when we were not out and about. The campsite offers pizzas and a bar. The location is very good, a few minutes walk into the village with tourist information, boulangerie, restaurant, excellent small Proxi supermarket, churches on the hill with amazing views. Nice walks to do nearby. Explore Aventure company on site - we did canyoning which was great fun! It’s a drive of around 45 mins to 1 hour to the Gorges du Verdon proper and also to the Lac de Castillon but we found all journeys take this time regardless of where you are located in the Verdon due to the windy mountain roads!

rude and uncomfortable

the surroundings was nice, great start for the canyoning. Really recommend the canyoning in the campsite. it was amazing.

The staff, rude, the lady was helpful but the man not. My card didnt work, and I got told that I should have checked if my card was working before hand, even though the issue was from the terminal. The mobilhome was very old. We left before night, kids felt unsecure. Money wasted. swimming pool super tiny and not very welcoming,

Nice campsite but needs improving

The campsite owners, Eric and Sonia, were very friendly, polite and hospitable. They also waited for us when we were not able to arrive before the check-in time lapsed. The shower and toilet block was conveniently located and was very clean. Even though the caravan was not at all what we expected, the actual pitch was very generous (with onsite parking too). The little village in which the campsite is located is also very cute and the boulangerie makes great bread (but everything else is very below par). All in all, a decent stay but a lot of improvement is needed.

We booked a caravan at this campsite which looked quite good and comfortable (this is why we booked it) but as soon as we said we had a dog, they moved us to a different caravan that "accepted dogs". We thought this was fair enough so we thought nothing more of it until the day of arrival when we were placed in a smaller caravan behind the one we had booked with not a lot of space inside and with a very small bed. Suffice to say we did not sleep very well. We also had to pay more for having our dog with us. The price for all of this, therefore, did not reflect what we were expecting and could have been a lot better (i.e. not good value for money). There were also too many rules to adhere to (keep your dog on a lead at all times, do not cook meat or fish in the kitchen, do not smoke [to be fair, this was because of the very dry weather conditions] etc). We were also expected to clean the caravan before leaving which is not really acceptable in our eyes and for the price. There were also no toilet seats on the toilets which was very unhygienic. The campsite needs a lot of improvement to bring it into line with other campsites in the region.

Good

It was a cute trailer that served us super well for one night. The camping site is peaceful and has very nice views, we had a beautiful sunset here.

You could not go in the pool wearing swimming shorts, you needed speedos (for man) and the toilets didn't have seating.

Exceptional

We stayed in one of the quirky caravans there. It was very small but perfect. It had a fridge and it's own deck area with a table and a hammock. The facilities were clean and in good order. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to travel around the gorges du Verdon. Really peaceful and beautiful.

Super recommended

Loved the little yellow&blue caravan well equipped and comfortable. It was in the shadow and so quite fresh even in the hottest days. Bathroom well equipped and always very clean. Everything is simple but very very comfortable for a quiet staying in nature. The village is very small but with a great family run restaurant, super market, Boulangerie and nice local shop for souvenirs, vintage and artisanal crafts.

Good

Location was fine. We visited the Verdun gorges about 30 kms from camping and the lake was a Total of 44kms. The Reception people were excellent. The communal facilities excellent and spotlessly clean . The pool was great to have on the location. We stayed in a small caravan which was too expensive compared to similar situations on our travels. The bed was rock hard but we had air mattresses and sleeping bags so that was fine for us to remedy.

The location is nice.

15 Euros for bed sheets. The caravan was a little old and uncomfortable. The staff ordered us to clean the place and they were extremely strict in rechecking it. When we came our place was not extremely clean. A bit expensive ( for this amount of cleaning.)

The staff is super friendly, flexible and helpful. The location is awesome, great views, great facilities. The flora and fauna are great. It's all there spiders, snakes, scorpions. Gotta love it!

NO VOLVERÍA

Ubicación cerca de las gargantas y carreteras bonitas. Zona tranquila. La cabaña tenía frigorífico.

1.Cuando llegamos, el recibimiento no fue un "buenos días", sino un "si no dejas de darle al botón del telefonillo no podremos hablar", cuanto yo vi como mi novia sólo apretó el botón 2 veces, y la segunda fue porque en la primera la comunicación se entrecortaba y parecía que habían colgado del otro lado. 2. Cuando hablamos de la piscina el mismo señor del primer punto nos dice que solo podemos bajarnos con traje de baño exclusivo como en que aparece en un dibujo que nos enseña (bañadores de natación), le digo que yo no tengo como esos, pero que es un bañador que solo uso para la piscina, no para ir de compras o de bares como él indica. Dice que no, y que en la tienda de al lado hay bañadores para poder comprar. Hago de tripas corazón y vamos a la tienda, HAY TOALLAS, CHANCLETAS, GAFAS DE SOL etc, pero no bañadores. Conclusión, me quedo sin bañarme en aquella pequeña piscina, que se encargan de hacer ver qué es mayor en las fotos de Booking gracias a objetivos angulares en la cámara. 3. Insisten en que limpiemos la cabaña en las que dormimos cuando nos vayamos o nos cobrarán 60€. Cuando entramos venís que la cabaña no está demasiado limpia de antes, cosa que es normal porque las puerta tiene huevos de 1cm entre las hojas de la puerta y el marco. Evidentemente nos llevamos las basura que producimos, pero a unos containers cerca de las tienda antes citada(a unos 500m), porque el camping no dispone de basura.

Camping en transit : ok !

Camping très abordable. Les tentes sont spacieuses et on a tout le confort, avec l'electricité, le frigo, etc. Une terrasse privative est apprécié. Le camping propose des pizzas et des boissons, très appréciable quand on arrive à 20h :)

Le seul hic est la qualité des couchages, mais c'est toujours mieux que la tente. ;-) Des matelas de meilleurs qualité serait appréciés.

Schmudeliges Zelt, strikte Regeln und unfreundliches Personal

Der Camping hat eine schöne Lage.

Leider diverses. Die Ausstattung in unserem Zelt war echt schmudelig. Die Matrazen und die Ausstattung haben uns geekelt. Auch wurden wir mit sehr strikten Regeln konfrontiert. Wir sind um 15 Uhr angereist - 1 Stunde vor dem offiziellen Check-in. Dies hat zu einem extrem unfreundlichen Empfang geführt. Man darf noch nicht mal auf die öffentliche Campingtoilette nutzen. Auch muss ein Kleinkind (1 jährig) für eine Erwachseneperson bezahlen, selbst wenn sie im Doppelbett schläft. Somit wird der Campingaufenthalt zu einem teueren Erlebnis für Familien mit kleinen Kindern. Insgesamt waren wir sehr enttäuscht von der Unfreundlichkeit und auch von der Unterkunft an sich. Wir würden diesen Camping nicht empfehlen.
