Relaxing self-contained stay in modern and well equipped cottage in quiet area. Nice skiing tracks.

The cottage is nicely and quietly located in the forest. The sauna is great to recover from a day of skiiing. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to fix a quick meal. On my first days there was lot of fresh snow so I was quite relieved to notice that not only public road but also the drive way (about 80m) were freed from snow every day.

The cottage is more that 5km away from civilisation (shopping, restuarants etc.) and the shortcut I had hoped to find does not exist! In order to reach the skiing tracks one can either take the car again (what I dislike) or go on skis which is nice but that reduces your ability to discover the rest of Ruka’s tracks by 2 times 5km each day. So in my point of view the loaction is nice but ... remote. Be prepared for that.
