The staff was very friendly, morning banh mi was good, room was spacious and very quiet.

The bedsheet had some marks and a hole caused by a cigarette, so they could use new bedsheets. There was a smell of sweat in the bathroom, maybe from the drain or something, as the toilet could use a new lid and the window more cleaning. There was also a cockroach when we checked in but I guess that can happen anywhere.

The owners were very lovely & welcoming. Were able to rent mopeds & location was great. Owners gave some good tips on where to go and which places at what time. Great value for money

Very big room, right in the city center, very comfortable to reach bus and plenty of places to eat around. The room was clean, and really a good offer for the price.

There was no toilet paper left for us and no towels - they were only given when we asked. Might be because there was a confusion with our arrival time. Towels also seemed a bit worn off.

We were able to check in at 2:30am after catching a night bus from Tam Coc which was very useful. They gave us a used dorm room with shower to use for the first night with a couple of other guests and offered us breakfast in the morning which was kind. Large, basic room and bathroom with working AC and hot water. Good location on the main road to be able to access everything in Phong Nha and close to the bus stop.

The owner started trying to sell us tours at 2:30am when we first arrived which would have been better if they had waited until the next morning! We were told we could check into the room we had booked at 11:30am but we later found out that check in and check out time are both the same time at 12pm so we had to wait a long time to check into our actual room as the room still needed to be cleaned when the previous guests checked out at 12pm. We could clearly hear the street and nearby bar from our room which was very loud on our last night (a Wednesday) and kept us awake. We struggled to connect to the Wi-Fi in our room but we had it downstairs in the reception area. The shower bracket in our room was broken so we had to hold the shower head to be able to shower. Some of the towels and bedding we received had stains on. Breakfast is very basic consisting of bread, fried egg, banana and tea or coffee. Staff were not always present which was difficult if you needed something. Timings for breakfast and check in/out changed depending on who you spoke to, and were different to what was posted in the room, so we were never quite sure what was the reality, and getting breakfast at 7am was a bit of a struggle even through we had confirmed it with two different people in advance. We didn’t book anything through the accommodation as we found better options elsewhere.
