I stayed in a yurt with my 8 year old son and we had a wonderful time. My son particularly loved the hot tub and going for walks in the beautiful countryside. It's a very unique experience that we will treasure. The yurt is absolutely beautiful and very cosy and comfortable. We loved it!

The bus and hop shack were really lovely glamping facilities. The staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We received complimentary tea and coffee, the beds were comfortable and clean and the views were gorgeous. It was a really peaceful place. The heating in both facilities were more than adequate even in December, the bus was heated before our stay which definitely helped.
The only thing I personally didn’t like was the bus had some live flies and wasps in the top room and when my son pulled the blinds down, lots of dead flies fell and landed on the bed. I personally have a phobia of flying insects so we couldn’t use this room however I understand it’s in the countryside and these things can’t be helped. We would return but not for NYE as there was not much to do and nothing nearby within walking distance but lovely for a quiet night in.

It was quirky and fun, the outlook was pretty.
One of the double beds was quite uncomfortable with the springs.

Everything! The bus we stayed in was unique. The area was peaceful. The setting is beautiful. We couldn't ask for more. My 8 year old son didn't want to leave. He asked if we could buy the bus and live here. We experienced 3 nights but would have gladly stayed longer.
We were lucky enough to experience a pizza night and have the bar open.
If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to have comfier seats on the outside decking. It didn't spoil the view tho!

The Yurt was ok. Bed was comfy and bedding soft and clean. However I was very disappointed about the “private toilet, shower and bath”. I got this Yurt in this place because we were going to have them. They were seriously disgusting. Toilet was a compost one and the poop and other things from other people were still there. It was full of flies and so gross. The bath with shower was also gross and next to the kitchen bins. The picture I saw was a nice bath next to a Yurt (other Yurt I thought I got), obviously they didn’t share pictures of this one. It was very expensive for what was offered.
Yurt was full of spiders but I expected bugs I suppose.
Kitchen was good, private and gas. Kitchenware old and not very nice.
They offered towels that were clean.
Facilities (public showers and toilets) were clean.
The area was stunning and very peaceful. Looking at the stars was amazing and hearing the owls and wildlife very beautiful.
Private toilet and private bath with shower. Charging extra for that is a scam.

The area was beautiful
It wasn't clear that to use the hot tub it would cost us £75 extra
And it wasn't clear that there was no electricity in the yurt the photos imply that the cooking area is in the yurt. The only thing different from camping was that we didnt have to take our own tent.
So for that I was disappointed as it was nothing like we expected.
And its Not really suitable for people with disabilities you have to park at the top of the hill and walk down, the ground was wet and slippery so i found this very difficult, steps to use the toilet and steps into the yurt if I was limited to a wheelchair it would of been absolutely impossible. Thankfully I can walk a little so we made do but wouldn't go back
However, we made the most of it and it was ok
Very over priced for what you get

Overall, great place. Lovely people, quirky accomodation. Getting used to country living was a joy, but had its challenges for us. Wood fire, outdoor kitchen and shower not our usual holiday but great fun for a few days. Will definately return.
Pub in village is down (up on way back) a steep hill, could be problem if mobility is poor. Had a lovely time in bar on site.

I stayed 4 nights in Wild Garlic Yurt from 17th July and came to love my little home over this period. There was plenty of space (1 double bed, 2 singles), bedding was immaculately clean, bed comfortable, wood burning stove very efficient (and necessary over this cool/wet period). The private composting loo was a few strides away from the yurt and the kitchen (which I had sole use of during this time) 20 seconds away. It was well equipped with gas hobs, sink, fridge, teas & coffees. The main camping area and facilities are across the road but very well maintained, wifi available near the wedding venue, very clean/ powerful hot showers in the main building area. There are flushing toilets and showers a short walk across the road. The hammocks to laze and watch the sun go down were a bonus, as were the cute donkeys, sheep, chickens and ducks. The staff were super friendly, efficient and informative. On a day of 24 hour rain I had wood delivered to my yurt (in fact every day not just this day), and fresh produce from the poly tunnel - which was delicious. Easy running/walking routes around (albeit on a hill)
Wild Garlic Yurt is in a secluded spot in the orchard surrounded by trees which made it cool and sunless. When the sun was in the main field at 5pm I had the stove on heating my yurt as it got no sun (the benefit was when it was raining, it was more protected and I did enjoy exercising outside when it was dry, in privacy).

It exceeded my expectations! The hot tub was ready and warm…under the starry night. It was cozy, clean and well equipped. The yurt was hidden with plenty if privacy. Quiet and peaceful.

18ft yurt was better equipped than advertised, well maintained grounds, good park for children.

Very atmospheric place, real farm and real yurt with a real furnace. Farm animals, orchard, playground - a lot of fun for children. And excellent bbq site!
Obviously, facilities are basic: no electricity in the accomodation, shared kitchen with broken oven, toilet outside. As it should be in a real nomades camp, I guess. Furnace and firewood were provided, but in the morning it still was chilly.

Simply amazing site with stunning scenery. We stayed in the 18ft yurt and it was brilliant (far better than I expected!). Had our own outdoor loo, gas stove and bath/shower. Ellie was great we had a small issue with the water but she made sure that a solution was found quickly. We will defiantly return in the future. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Wales.

Once we got there, we felt a little lost because we are not from the area. We were greeted by a nice fellow named Rob who fetched our keys to the Hop Shack for us and let us know where to park. Once we got out of the car, we were greeted by the sheep and the cute dog. (Our kids loved being able to pet the animals. My husband also noted the leeks being grown nearby.)
Rob showed us how to work the gas and stove in the shack. As a precaution for our 11 month old, we chose not to use the stove (it would have kept the front part warmer for us.) We had everything we needed. We stayed here so we were close to our friend who runs the John Y Gwas Tafarn. We brought our own snacks/continental so we did not get the chance to eat on-site since we ate while out and about. This is a lovely place for either a romantic rural getaway or a lovely place to hold an event. We look forward to coming back and staying again! (We forgot to take pictures inside, but took a couple from the car on the way out, but the website pictures are accurate.)
Not a "didn't like" but emphasize bring wellies to walk around outside as advised by the location and we recommend slippers inside to help keep feet warm.

The converted bus was fantastic, it has central heating, indoor toilets and a fully kitted out kitchen area. Bedding was supplied along with towels. It's in a great location for exploring,
A very peaceful site and felt completely relaxed after my stay and would definately recommend a stay here.
I liked everything about this venue. It is a gem amongst the Welsh countryside.

Advised, that towels and pillows not provided.. as we took 4 pillows with us, towels, which took quite a lot of space in the car, and once we arrived - we found all pillows and towels provided.. so i suggest-double check before you go

It's quiet, staff and locals all lovely. Location was beautiful and loved sitting on decking with brew in morning and listening to birds. Play Park on site kept children busy and entertained. Lovely break to escape technology and enjoy some family time with kiddies.
Kettle and microwave would have been nice but coped without just not used to not quickly warming up babys milk
