Villa Elan

Thank You very much, dears Elena. Beautiful villa with wonderfull view. Relax and all necessary subjects is in this house. I will recommend villa Elan for all tourists.

All is ok. But need car for live in this house.

Everything was just wonderful. Quiet nature, relaxation, clean and cozy house. I especially liked the attitude of the owner. He was sympathetic and kind to us. The house has everything you need. Clean towels, bath accessories, comfortable beds, a comfortable home and the hospitality of Crete.

The only drawback is the absence of an asphalt road on the site. And everything else is fine.

The host was exceptionally thoughtful and kind despite his own situation. The views from the verandah are beautiful and I'm sure even more so when the sun is shining. The heated underblanket was so welcome in the coldest March Crete has had for some time.

The lighting could have been better for reading in the lounge and bedroom (only one bedside light in the main room) and in the kitchen for cooking and washing up. However, we did visit in March with dark nights, and in summer may not be necessary.

The house has a big terrace with a decent view of the lake and also (a bit blocked) view of the ocean The internet worked well for normal browsing. We did not try to stream shows or movies. The pillows were very comfortable.

A nearby neighbour has 2 very aggressive dogs that jump against the fence and barks and growls every time someone passes near it, and you also need to pass this house to go anywhere. The owner is very micro managing and keeps sending long lists of instructions on what to do and not do. The mattresses felt a bit old and could be more comfortable. The outside "garden" area is very bare and un-appealing for kids to play in. All the other houses seemed to have nicer outside areas With wind and rain the terrace was sadly not usable and everything gets wet and takes long to dry.
