Aaryana Lagoon

Die Lage, direkt an einer Lagune nicht weit weg vom Meer. Es gab 2 Kanus zur freien Nutzung. Der Pool ist erst 1 Jahre alt und wurde jeden Tag von Danushka, dem Verwalter gereinigt. Danushka war jederzeit ansprechbar und aeußerst hilfsbereit. Sitzmoebel waren bequem, die Betten ebenfalls und die Klimaanlage funktionierte prima. Alles war wunderbar und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

De locatie was perfect! Heerlijk rustig, aan de lagoon dichtbij het strand. Danushka is een onwijs vriendelijke host die zorgt dat je niets te kort komt. De villa is prachtig en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het kanoën naar het strand is echt een aanrader. We hebben genoten.

We absolutely loved our stay! A little bit out of the town but we preferred that because we could rent a moped from the host for only $6 a day, giving us the full Sri Lankan experience. We stumbled on by accident a nearby beach which does baby turtle release into the ocean every day at 6pm, you can just show up! We loved the pool and the host comes by every morning and every evening to clean it. We saw many animals from the pool! Such as peacocks, monkeys, motor lizards, newts, exotic birds! Right next to a lagoon and the host has a free kayak you can use. Loved reading in the hammock! Tangalle and surrounding town / beaches were our highlight of Sri Lanka! Coffee spots we’d recommend: Kopi. Our host also arranged cars and tuk tuks whenever we wanted, including for a day in hiriketiya and transport onwards to Ella. We loved the outdoor shower!

Peacocks on the roof making a lot of noise very early in the morning, which woke us up a few times, but hey what can you do. Bring earplugs! There is a small sitting area with a tv (lounge) as part of the villa, but the windows are wooden (lots of gaps, open air, and therefore lots of insects). We couldn’t sit in here for this reason. But not a problem to the rest of the villa as bedrooms are enclosed spaces, we made sure our bedroom door was always closed, which stopped any getting into our room to be fair! And it didn’t hinder our stay as we brought bug spray. We loved that the host stopped by in the mornings and evenings every day, but we would have preferred more privacy. However it was always sociable hours.
