We had a fantastic stay here with 3 couples for a birthday getaway weekend. The host was incredibly helpful in maximizing our enjoyment of the area. The recommendations for chefs and activities were great! The property is very private with open views and walk up to a fantastic beach. It is in a remote area and was peaceful, but a small town and the Four Seasons are a 10 minute drive (or 2 mile beach walk!) away.

I hesitate to say anything because I’d like to keep this place a secret. It’s THAT GOOD. Everything about it is to die for: the views are stunning, beach is swimmable with tons of space to spread out, no crowds, no noise, close-by to two different towns with restaurants, bars, and resorts. It’s easy to fill your days with activities or simply do nothing, but we enjoyed the do-nothing days the best.

The April 2021 review from Julia P ( a week before our stay) sums it all up, location stunning, property in need of serious updating, cleaning and maintenance. Unfortunately the owners don't allow you to cancel even during the peak of covid in 2020 so the only option the owner provided was to rebook for 2021. Owners offered us in writing they'd provide us 2 free nights and free chef services to better the rebooking but they would not follow through when the time came and did not provide. Broken ACs in Master and Casita-Fernando could not fix and no screens so you either roast or get eaten alive by mosquitos if you keep the windows open at night. Not all windows would even open. Bugs everywhere in the bathrooms, tooth brush full of them. Standing in ankle deep water in showers. House in need of deep cleaning. I had to scrub down the trash compactor nearby walls to remove all the food crud stuck on the walls, hoping to cut down on the bugs. Ceiling fans inches of dirt on them, not all working either. Only 2 of 5 burners barely work on stove. We had 6 adults in our group difficult to cook meals-chef that we arranged to come to cook advised worst equipped kitchen and stove/oven ever. Discussed this with owner before arriving and still they did not fix. Luckily we took pictures of some of this as they tried to blame us for damage and keep our $1000 security deposit too. This property is extremely worn down and outdated when you get up close. The beds although nice, as the April guests mentioned in her review, the sheets in the ocean front casita had stains on them, no wash clothes. Open wiring light switch panel in the casita. Fernando is the best -very responsive to our daily calls about the pool problems, stove and AC not working but he can only do so much. The owners need to loose their super host status and 5 star rating until these things are improved. The place has NOT been recently renovated as the listing states. In researching I found some of the misleading reviews were done by the owners family members-not unbiased guests. Luckily I took pictures of many things when we arrived as they tried to keep our $1000 deposit advising we broke a pane of glass until I advised of all the pictures I took of the broken glass, the gross dirty broken AC units, etc was I told I would get my full deposit returned. It is really too bad because the beach location is the best. VRBO needs to remove Superhost 5 star status. It's not REAL
