About this house rental
Outside, the roomy deck is the best place to soak in the sunshine while viewing the mountain scenery or watching the sun go down. Evenings are the perfect time to see deer and other wildlife. A barbecue grill is available for outdoor cooking on cool mountain evenings, and there is plenty of room to store your personal outdoor gear in a secured downstairs porch. Huddled in the woods, but within easy distance of everything you want to do in the Ruidoso area, this is a vacation to remember warmly for years to come.
There is spacious off-street parking for a maximum of three cars. Expect twisty roads and steep grades in this mountain community. While we’re located on a paved road, be aware of potential snowy and icy road conditions if you visit in winter.
This cabin is nestled at the edge of Lincoln National Forest Cedar Creek Recreation Area, and makes the perfect basecamp for all that Ruidoso offers. Step outside for quick access to hiking and mountain biking on Cedar Creek’s trails. A short drive takes you to Grindstone Lake for more trails, as well as fishing and paddle-boarding, or visiting shops in downtown Ruidoso. Relaxing on the deck is the perfect way to end the day! And there are plenty of great local restaurants if you wish to keep cooking to a minimum. Ruidoso is also just a one-hour scenic drive to Cloudcroft, White Sands National Monument, or Roswell for those who wish to explore the area.
