Monteverde Casa Mia, near main attractions and town!

We stayed in Casa Mia Suite.Amazing house, very beautiful and well- maintained garden and trails. Having a jacuzzi was an extra bonus for rainy days. Interior design and cleanliness was exceptional. Also, there is a washer and dryer in the unit which you definitely appreciate on a rainy day.

Although the house was great , the pictures were confusing as we thought we’d get the main house. Other than that the house was perfect.

Comfortable, peaceful, beautiful.

This place was exquisite. I felt like I was in my own private cloud forest. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously kept. The Casa Mia Suite is tastefully decorated, had everything we needed to cook and create our own dishes here and just enjoy the serenity. The bed and linens were heavenly. This was the best place of our 3 week trip to Costa Rica. The washer and dryer in the unit was very helpful and appreciated. I indulged in the jacuzzi tub and appreciated the bath oil. Juana and Oscar are on the property and are warm, lovely people. They even left homemade bread and jam for us. We met Vicente the property caretaker whose family lives on the property and he was lovely as well. The expansive property has two trails that are well marked for you to enjoy. We saw butterflies, birds and other mammals during our walks. The trails are marked and maintained very well. There are ponds with chairs to sit in and enjoy the nature that surrounds you. We took advantage of that every day. We were here a total of 5 nights and loved every second. The property is perfectly located and is 10 minutes from the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, Selvatura Park and 12 minutes from Santa Elena, where we enjoyed a meal at The Open Kitchen. We did venture to Monte Verde to the Cafe Colibri (The Hummingbird Cafe) to enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy all the hummingbirds. Even that was only a 20 minute drive. The roads are bumpy and unpaved in some areas. We read that the road to get to the property was difficult but we didn’t think so. It is a single lane gravel road that was not difficult to manage, just drive slow. We used Waze to get to the property and found it was the most accurate and best way to get around Costa Rica. Juana sent me the property directions to use on google map and on Waze so I had my choice. The roads are not marked well or often not at all, so watching the app to see where to turn was very helpful.

Such a nice, welcoming cabin with all facilities: dishwasher, laundry machine. Nice hosts as well!
