Tesla's Gastro House Plitvice

The food was incredible. Calling it a "rich breakfast" is the understatement of the century. You will not want to miss out on the meals. The ingredients were fresh and the food was delicious. The hospitality was top of the line. The owners were the kindest people and so very accomidating. If I would have known this place was so pleasant, I would have booked for a longer visit. The scenery from the garden is beautiful. There is pleny of room to roam around for a walk. The neighbor dogs come over for a visit and they're super friendly.

Wonderful setting in the hillside, bedrooms and living areas in the house were so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The hosts, Visnja, Davorin and Philip were so welcoming and attentive to our every need. Our breakfasts and dinners, prepared by Visnja, were superb.

WOW! Where do we even begin?! Tesla’s Gastro House Plitvice is one of those rare places that makes you wish you could give MORE than 5 stars! First, let’s talk about the real star of the show… THE FOOD! Seriously, book a stay here just so you can eat! 😂 Višnja is an absolutely incredible chef, and her husband, Davorin, is an equally amazing barista! My wife and I have traveled to many places, and I can confidently say we have NEVER stayed anywhere where we were fed as well as we were here. Every meal was an experience, and every bite had us wondering how something could taste so good. We honestly looked forward to eating just as much as exploring the area! And while the food completely stole the show, the accommodations were wonderful too! Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after a long day of exploring. They even have a hot tub and sauna available, which are fantastic extras for relaxing and unwinding. The location couldn’t have been better either! We had a rental car, and Entrance 2 of Plitvice Lakes National Park was an easy 7 minute drive away. Close enough to make visiting the park incredibly convenient while still enjoying a peaceful setting. But what really makes Tesla’s Gastro House special is the heart and soul behind it. Višnja and Davorin have created something truly extraordinary. Their passion for hospitality shines through in everything they do, especially in the kitchen! We came to explore one of Croatia’s most beautiful national parks, but somehow ended up talking just as much about the food as the waterfalls! 😂 If you’re visiting Plitvice, don’t even think twice about where to stay. Tesla’s Gastro House is THE place! We genuinely cannot imagine anywhere else topping this experience. Thank you, Višnja and Davorin, for making our stay so memorable. We would come back in a heartbeat, and yes, we’d probably come back just to eat! ❤️

This is a lovely cottage with tranquil location. Very cozy and comfortable with all amenities to make it a memorable stay. Food was nice and plentiful albeit a little expensive.

6 hours after checkout we received a message from owner to call her back. When we did she stunningly accused us of badly damaging her bathroom tap which now apparently needed replacement. We were shocked. We stayed at the property for less than 40 hours and the bathroom (whilst having general wear and tear), was in good condition and we left it in that same condition upon check out. There was some suggestion by the owner that we spilled something acidic (???) and corroded the tap and told us that it absolutely could not have been their cleaner whom their trusted implicitly. This of course was complete none sense. My family travels extensively and has stayed is hundreds of hotels. Firstly we have never damaged any premises we stayed in and secondly if we did, we would tell the owners and offer to pay for the damage. Having spent €800 on this accommodation and food for 2 nights, paying for a replacement tap would not be an issue. Separately (and a bit if a side comment) we do not pack acid which is capable of corroding water taps at hotels. After I pressed the owner for a photo which shows the damage she quickly ended the call and said it won’t be necessary and muttered something about us being dishonest. I found the entire thing very bizarre and somewhat disappointing after a pleasant stay. What motivated this owner to accuse its customers of damage to property without providing any evidence remains a mystery. We will try to remember this place fondly despite this issue, but we certainly will not be recommending this place to anyone else.
