Check out the local "hidden treasure" known as the bubbling springs; a natural spring in the woods that "bubbles" as it comes up! (Map included at the cabin). With state land across the street, you can trail ride with your ATV, ORV, dirtbike or snowmobile! There are trails for miles and miles in all directions,... the trail head is just a mile up the road! Fall brings beautiful colors to our area making it a great destination for color touring and hiking! Looking for hunting property?? Our cabin has been enjoyed as a hunting camp during deer season by several groups! Our guests have had great success in the woods across the road from the cabin and look forward to coming back again and again! Winter time is beautiful at the cabin, curl up with a book or strap on your snow shoes and go for an adventure! Snow shoe to the river or other scenic views along Michigan's North Country Trail! Interested in down hill skiing? We are within an hour drive of several ski resorts as well! Manton and Lake City have great festivals throughout the year including Manton's Labor Day Harvest Festival and Lake City's Greatest Fourth in the North! Feel free to ask what is happening locally,... there is always something! If your looking for good food and fun, 308 Bar and Grill (Manton) offers comedy night and live music on various weekends along with wood fired pizza, burgers, wraps and steak night on Friday nights (a local favorite)! If you are looking for a fun place to shop and grab lunch, Latitude 44 is a eclectic and tasty coffee/ice cream/ sandwich destination with retail shops that are sure to keep you coming back again and again! Looking to venture out for the day? We are within an hour of wine country (ask for details on the wine tours), venture to Sleeping Bear Dunes or spend a day sunbathing on Lake Michigan!
