Lots of restaurants and shops 10 minutes away in Ambleside10.very nice Capilano River Regional Park just that the bottom of the street. The Capilano River is just a short walk from the street11.basement location was not a problem, darkened the roomsCons1.tenant is unable to control the HVAC. All temperature adjustments are done by the owner from a remote location. The owner was very responsive so this was not much of a problem.2.Bathrooms were fairly far from the bedrooms3.steps leading down were somewhat hard to navigate especially for elderly4.noise could be heard from the occupants upstairs but never late at night or early in the morning.

The basement apartment had a separate entry and was very private. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were most congenial, even providing a goody basket that was much appreciated.

What a pleasant stay! It was our first visit to Vancouver, and we were traveling with our two children (7 and 11 years old) as well as my parents. The two large separate bedrooms and two bathrooms greatly contributed to our comfort and organization as a group of six. The accommodation is very clean and spacious. It is located in a beautiful, green, safe, and peaceful neighborhood, just a few minutes' drive from Stanley Park. Several services and shops are nearby, and highway access is quick. It was a pleasure to communicate with and meet our hosts. The welcome was impeccable. Thank you!

Shane was amazing with communication and the place was absolutely stunning! The neighborhood includes a nearby walking trail. The VRBo unit is extremely well maintained, with many high end touches. When we arrived super early, Shane was exceptionally accommodating, offering us early check in and great tips on where to go to get a bite to eat.

Gladys and Roys place was awesome! Huge clean basement suite with everything you need for a comfortable stay with family. Shane was great to communicate with and very quick to reply. Amazing back yard with a play area for the kids was a huge bonus for us. This is an excellent location in ambleside with quick access to downtown. We will definitely be staying here again.

All four of us were well pleased with location of property and the property itself. The hosts' parents being there also helped because they gave us some pointers on what to do on our extra day before we boarded the ship. Did not like that I could not get to respond to my hosts email when we got to Vancouver through no fault of his just all I had was my cell phone and could not go throught the verifying process in time to get back to leave him a message. All in all, a very good experience.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this property! The house was in a great, quiet, and clean location just minutes away from several amazing restaurants and fun outdoor activities. The house had all the amenities we needed for our stay—in addition to the unexpected welcome goodie basket! Our group of four also really appreciated that we could each enjoy hot showers every day, thanks to the continuous hot water system. The mattresses and pillows could have been a little more comfortable, but otherwise we were able to relax and have a great time. Thank you so much to the property owners and manager for making this home available and comfortable. We definitely hope to make it back someday!

The property is HUGE (bigger than the two bedroom apartment I lived in for 7 years!) and the amenities are incredible. The host was kind enough to put out a mattress for our third child and the place is fully equipped. The backyard is gorgeous and the location is nice and quiet with very little traffic. Any questions we had were promptly responded to. We were looking for a place to stay in North Vancouver and selected this property because of not only the amazing pics, but also the proximity to family in North Van. Unfortunately this specific property is in West Van even though the VRBO advertisement shows a North Van address (the North Van address is the second property of the owner). It was only 15 - 20 mins from family, but Hwy 1 can have some brutal traffic some days so it sometimes became close to 30 mins. We enjoyed using the kitchen and washing facilities. Having TWO bathrooms was also really nice for our family of 5. You are very close to a large shopping mall and grocery store so you can easily pick up supplies if needed. There is also a park nearby with a climbing structure for the kids. Hiking trails are just down the road and lead to some beautiful scenery. Thank you for a great trip - we definitely enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights. The place was great and it was large. We had so much room. It was very quiet. The backyard was cute and secluded. It's in a nice part of town. Management and the owners were both very nice and easy to work with. We loved the "Welcome basket" and the whole made jelly was amazing. I am just bummed out we could not bring it with where we were heading next. Thanks for a great stay.

This suite was perfect for our family of 5 prior to our Alaskan cruise. It allowed us to explore Vancouver for a few days and have a welcoming cozy place to call home. Very spacious and so many thoughtful amenities along with a lovely quiet location. Would highly recommend!

My wife and I do a fair amount of travelling and use VRBO frequently. This is one of the nicest properties we have stayed in!! The detail is outstanding, there are two huge bedrooms, a beautiful backyard with beautiful plantings, and it is located in a great neighborhood. The owner was outstanding to deal with, very responsive and gracious. The property is a short ride to downtown Vancouver (15 minutes or so), and about 35 minutes from the airport. He even left us a welcome basket with some homemade jam that his mother makes, it was delicious!! We absolutely would stay here again, and plan to get back to Vancouver at some point in time. When we do, this is one property we hope is available!!

This stay in West Van was perfect for our daughters family and us. The space is huge,well laid out and has a separate bathroom for each bedroom. The bedrooms are also separated from one another which gives each family more privacy. Shane is a great host and very responsive. The backyard is gorgeous and has a play structure for the children.

This property worked out perfect for our 2 couples before our cruise to Alaska. The price was excellent and the place was exactly as advertised. There was some confusion as to the property address as the owners home address was listed rather than the actual rental but Shane cleared it up without any issue. Would definitely stay here again if my travel took me to Vancouver.

We loved staying here! I was worried it’d be too small for our family, but it was quite large with more room than we needed. The host set up an extra mattress on the floor for my kids along with a pack n play. They had a nice goodie basket to welcome us. Their backyard was huge! Lots of room for my kids to run around. If you’re staying with young kids, just know there are stairs to get down into the unit. Also there is no door to the gate to get into the backyard, so make sure you watch little ones outside. Overall a great experience and more than we expected.
