NEW OUTDOOR RENOVATIONS completed in the off-season! Two new beautiful gray treks decks. Large, stunning back deck with cable for viewing of the gorgeous Swan River. On the deck is a carefree, large, sturdy composite and teak outdoor dining table and chairs. New stone patio is perfect for grilling, having a cold beverage with a beautiful view of the River and wildlife. Two new wicker lounge chairs to relax or read a book are set by the river bank. A newly built stone fire pit and Adirondack chairs overlooking the river to enjoy by day and night. A newly installed sliding door with built-in shades leads you to the gorgeous deck and one of the prettiest views on the cape! We pulled up a indoor-outdoor carpet in the porch and put down easy care waterproof laminate flooring. We added a cafe table and chairs for morning coffee on the porch. The front deck is also new beautiful treks decking. Spacious with beautiful views of the river as well. We pulled down the light green vinyl siding and painted the clapboard driftwood grey. Front door is a beachy aqua blue. All of the windows in the house have been replaced. A new mulched path within the trees leads to yet another tranquil spot with more Adirondack chairs to enjoy the peaceful and serene river. The house has better curb appeal and we are really happy with the results. Please see some updated pictures!

Swan Landing is perfect for the families that love adventure or are looking for a relaxing getaway. We have 2 kayaks and a paddle board to launch from our half acre waterfront property. There is a large side yard for lawn games. We have badminton and other fun outdoor games. A large stunning deck overlooks the scenic Swan River with plenty of seating. We have a Weber grill. A porch with new flooring has spectacular views is ideal for morning coffee, reading a book, or summer nights playing board games, which we have many games. Some family favorites like Otrio, , apples to apples, Sorry and no summer is complete without mancala. You can relax with a summer breeze after a fun day on Cape Cod or kayaking on the Swan River. South Village beach, popular with families has a sand bars that the kids love. It is a 0.8 mile walk to the beach or you can take a kayak ride down the Swan River to the beach. Dennis has enough beaches to keep you busy all week. Popular West Dennis beach on Nantucket Sound spans for over a mile with convenient parking at the beach edge. Great place to fly a kite. You will see many windsurfers. At the end of the beach is Bass River beach or boaters beach, as the locals call it. Mayflower on the Cape Cod Bay is one of the prettiest beaches with tidal pools at low tide. Both beaches have bathrooms and concession stands. Mayflower is a great place to watch the sunset. Corporation is a pretty beach with limited parking and Chapin is a beach I like to walk after 5:00.
Parasailing, Jet Skis and Banana boats all are nearby in Dennis and Yarmouth. Dennis it will be Cape Cod Bay and Yarmouth will be Nantucket Sound.
The Cape Cod Rail Trail has 25 miles of bike trails. The entrance on Rt 134 is 2 miles from the house. There are many parking spots on the trail which starts in Yarmouth and ends in Wellfleet. Many places to stop on the ride. Kettle ponds and First Crush winery for wine slushes in Harwich, Brewster General store for a cold drink or snack. From Rt 134 to Brewster General store and back is about 10 miles. It is mostly flat except the hills going up and over the overpasses. We sometimes drive to Orleans and bike to Wellfleet and back.

Absolutely beautiful setting. Location was perfect for kayaking which my family took total advantage. Corn hole was also provided which led to some exciting family competitions (men vs. women, women won of course). House was comfortable, particularly like screen in porch. Most nights my son built a fire in the fire pit and we also barbequed. Sophie, our dog who accompanied us, also enjoyed her vacation in West Dennis. Location was very convenient, a short car ride away from beach, super market, coffee shop, bakery, etc. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Wonderful home with great location for our girls’s weekend- plenty of seating and loved outdoor shower! Owner very prompt responses to our questions and able to walk to local beach. Definitely would want to stay again!

Definitely not a five star rated property. Exterior of this property needs a lot of work, don’t think it’s ready to be rented. But we went by the reviews, which is the best you can do when renting a property. So we were expecting to spend lots of time outside enjoying the beautiful view, which was actually better from the neighbors yard. No real place to launch boats or kayaks, except a tiny 2 foot wide path through the reeds, not ideal. Definitely some trimming of bushes needed to be done if you wanted to actually enjoy this view from the back deck of this property. Back deck slider and screen slider were very difficult to maneuver in and out of the house became quite a hassle for us. The back deck itself was splintering old wood not good for barefoot feet. Inside of the house was OK, except for the very musty smells in all the closets in the house, not sure how to correct that, and please, the front screened in porch, get rid of the disgusting stained carpet which is the first thing you see upon entering the property. I suggest taking some of that 4K plus money we spent this week and investing it in some exterior improvements. Hope this helps other renters, and property owners to make some improvements for their next renters.
