Not the most beautifull hotel in town but friendly staff and pretty good rooms.

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is run by a very friendly family that make you feel welcome. Entrance looks a bit run down but the room was good and comfortable and lokked a lot better than the entrance.

The hotel overall looks a bit run down and messy. But the friendliness of the staff more than compensates this. Would come again.

They Came, they slept and they went home.

Location, bedding was clean and fresh

Lack of staff, it’s dated and needs investment and lack of life was an issue and as I booked for 2 elderly ladies I was upset that they were put on the 2nd floor despite the place being seemingly completely empty. Yes someone helped them when they arrived but it was like a ghost ship when it came to leaving!

Horrifying, bring back the Hind Hotel

1. Mould in the bathroom 2. Door in my room leading to the main road was left unlocked 3. Nearly got refused entry for not bringing a passport despite being told i don’t need one for this property

Clean room, nice breakfast for the price, but smelt of damp,a little expensive for age of building

I arrived and was allowed to go into my room 45 minutes early which was good, the room was clean , the bathroom was clean considering the age of the property. The breakfast was nice, not a buffet style but to order and worth the £10 charge.

The price was a little expensive considering the age of the property and the decor, the hotel seriously needs an update, the rooms when I arrived were freezing and after enquiring as to why the room was so cold , I was informed it was because "the heating is on a timer and does not come on until 5pm as the hotel is "Big" and expensive to heat". £75 for a night with the age of the building and the smell of damp due to the heating being switched off continuously I believe was too much.

A diamond in the rough.

Lovely welcoming and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable basic room, perfect for our overnight stay and we had a good night's sleep.

A little rough around the edges but easily overlooked. Definitely don't judge the book by its cover! The carpet and furnishings are brand new in the room. The only thing I'd change is the fact the TV didn't have cbeebies channel or access to iPlayer much to my 2yr olds disappointment. And there's no EV charging on site but who can complain with plenty of free parking available on site? Would definitely stay again!

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is clean, bedding is clean. Hotel facilities are clean and neat.

The beds are too soft, and a family room is a tight fit. Not too tight, but space is rather limited when you are travelling with large suitcases. If you opt for the breakfast included in your stay and you stay for a week, then the breakfast gets repetitive.

When in the area again, I will be back!

I was quite late checking in, even a little later than anticipated but that was no problem, I was met with a smile and a great welcome. The room had everything I wanted, TV, coffee & tea making set and excellent shower room. It's an old building but everything is clean and neat so when I'm in the area again and need somewhere good to stay, I'll be happy to come back! Ah yes, nearly forgot. Breakfast was basic but good quality! Everything for a full English, bar the blackpudding, toast and fresh fruit.

Nothing to do with the hotel, it seems some of the guests thought their car was bigger than it actually was, so had to park on the street rather than the free car park behind the hotel.

The bedroom was super clean, ample parking, excellent customer service. Amazing homemade curry. This is a traditional long standing building with sash windows and a wonderful friendly family feeling. Huge bathroom. It is not like your standard travel lodge etc which can be a bit clinical and corporate. We had to change our date due to a bereavement and the owners were very understanding.

Comfy, quiet, clean, lovely staff, homely atmosphere

This was in a lovely quiet part of town, it was spotless, all the staff were so lovely, helpful, respectful. The room was lovely bathroom looked brand new, we had a lovely place to stay while at a local festival (camping is not for me🤣) and the price was amazing for the amazing condition and quality of the room and all extras included! Will definitely be using this next time if we’re staying in Wellingborough again!

The window lock was previously broken but as we didn’t have our children with us this was not an issue for us

Bed was comfortable.

This hotel is in need of refurbishment both in terms of decor and furnishings. Whilst it appears to be clean it has the look and smell of a tired property. A collection (tip) of beds and mattress piled up outside and associated odour at the rear entrance (accessed from the car park) was not welcoming and rather set a tone.

Has potential but overall disappointing

I stayed here as I was attending an event in the Kettering Conference Centre, so only being 20 minutes away this was good. Free parking was good and convenient, had no issues getting a space. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel could do with updating as it looks quite drab, however from previous reviews, I am aware there is ongoing refurbishment work. The main reason for my poor review is because my room doesn't look to have been cleaned prior to me checking in. The carpet desperately needed a hoover, the bed wasn't made and it appeared the duvet had just been thrown onto the bed, and the bins hadn't been emptied. However the thing that caused me to leave this review, is that the towels weren't clean, and had red-brown stains on them that looked like dried blood. I only noticed this in the morning after waking up, when I checked in I only dropped off my bag and went out, and as I got back late there was no one on reception to raise this with (same when I left at around 10.45am). If they can update the decor and get their act together with the cleaning, then this could be quite nice but it is unlikely I will stay here again.
