Apartamentos La Carmen

Very good location if you want to drive around the island - close to the highway, but also not far from the center (15 min walk). We never had problems finding a parking spot near the apartment. Comfortable bed, kitchen that is tiny but has everything you may need, laundry machine, TV, AC.

The only thing that is missing is a wardrobe, but for a couple of days it was really amazing.

Just a great wee apartment. Lovely bakeries and a supermarket close by.

Everything was fine although there was a hob and saucepan i didn’t see a kettle would be good.

It was big and clean and check in easy.

the apt needs to be refurbished a little.

This trip was my 'escape' from the miserable weather in GB, and after exiting the airport, I could shed my coat, hat, scarf and gloves! The 21 bus from the sirport goes to a bus interchange west of the Gran Hotel on the front. (Masks were required). A tee-shirt was actually enough during the day, except when the wind picked up, or the rain came! I was in the "Studio Apartment" on the first floor (Stairs only) I really liked the bed! For years, I have struggled with beds in lodgings that felt about as comfy as concrete! There must be German tourists, because I saw many menus in Spanish/German/English.

There's a large step down at the apartment door into the room! No kettle! The 'Coffee maker' = cafetiere for the hob (very slow) I was given one bottle of water, when I collected the keys (from the Bubelis pizzeria below). I had to buy coffee and milk from the shop on the corner to make a drink. Beware of the fridge door - if the fridge has been pushed back, the door won't close, and it will defrost. The door doesn't open enough to remove drip trays etc! (Too close to wall)[I had to use towels to remove the water] As others have mentioned, when the pizzeria is busy, it can be noisy. However, I realised after, that the apartment was warmed by the heat from downstairs! (Which was useful for cool winter nights!) Watching TV (in Spanish) from the bed, wasn't comfy - no cushions or extra pillows to lean against. Most of my comments aren't for the apartment, but Arrecife and Lanzarote, so I will find somewhere else to post them.
