Villages of Crystal Beach is an exclusive, gated community only a few blocks from the beautiful blue waters and white sandy beaches of Destin. You can make the walk on foot or hop on the free seasonal trolley service (Memorial Day through Labor Day): they will even pick you up at the house and drop you off right at the beach! The pool area at Villages of Crystal Beach is a vacation must! The lagoon style zero entry pool is 30,000 square feet of gorgeous, sparkling clear water. There is a spa, tropical landscaping, and plenty of seating areas. It also has surround sound, a flat screen TV, and a grilling area to help you relax and unwind.
Please note that there are parking restrictions within the Villages of Crystal Beach. There are two parking spaces available in the driveway of the home. Trailers, RV's, boats, golf carts, and motorcycles are not allowed within the community gates; alternate parking arrangements will need to be made for these items.
Area Attractions:
It's a terrific residential area, yet close to restaurants and activities in Destin. Walk to the beach, or hop on the free, seasonal trolley, running from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Walk to restaurants or shopping areas.
Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

My daughter lives in Tampa Florida as we live in Dallas Texas. Sad it ended. Man thank yall for the experience. My family has never been to Florida/ a beach so I was able to cater them

Home was nice, but needed some minor repairs. Location was close to all beaches and attractions. Stove was hard to cook on. It didn't seem to be level and I couldn't read the knob on the front right. Condo could of used a good spring cleaning. King bed was creaky upstairs. Pool in the community needing a good cleaning also. It was supposed to bf a gated community but one of the gates was missing

This house is fine but I would never book it again, especially for a beach vacation. First and foremost, the decor is not what you want in a beach location. It was more like staying in a monastery than a beach house. Very dark and gothic. Little things throughout that need attention, such as dead lightbulbs, non-functional ice maker, couldn’t connect to wifi, broken handle on fridge (which, according to reviews has been a problem since 2019), visible stains on bedding, no wastebaskets in bathrooms, a bed that made tons of noise when you moved even slightly (forget doing anything but sleep), very rickety bunk beds, no shelves in showers, NO HOT WATER (which also seems to be an ongoing problem). This was the biggest problem, as we were there for a funeral. Only two of the eight people in our group got hot water, and no one took over five minutes, as time was an issue. There was also an interesting smell that permeated every room and did not fade throughout the weekend.
I realize that this is a rental so there will always be issues, but I was a little embarrassed to be the one who booked this place for my extended family. To RealJoy’s credit, they did respond to my message quickly but we weren’t there long enough to make it worth them coming out. Also, the ice maker, hot water and fridge handles seem to be ongoing and I shouldn’t have to contact them during our stay to handle things they clearly already know about.
The pool was cool and very easy to access.
