    Although I saw the photos prior to booking, I was still impressed by the decor of the hotel when I stepped in. The design of all areas of the hotel was excellent, contributing to a feeling of luxury. The breakfast (which was a set menu on all days of my stay except 1 when it was a buffet) was excellent and very filling. The view at the rooftop was amazing too. One small nitpick was that I wasn't allowed up to the rooftop on a Monday evening as it was closed, even though all I wanted was to take photos. This was a pity but I understand the reluctance of the staff to let me up when there wasn't any staff on duty. Magaly (or Magy) was excellent, offering me suggestions on where to eat in Cuenca and helping me to make a reservation at a restaurant to eat cuy. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
