About this apartment rental
One bedroom apartment on the top floor (third floor with no lift) of a fine Victorian building in the heart of Soho. Sleeps up to four people.
The apartment is in Broadwick Street, five minutes walk from both Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus underground stations and connects Carnaby Street (famous for fashion since the 1960's) and Berwick Street (known for its open air food market). As well as fashion boutiques this part of Soho is now known for a number of small high quality restaurants with a Michelin starred restaurant only a few doors away on Broadwick Street.
The apartment is modern, spacious, very bright and has excellent views. There is sole access to a huge roof terrace. Despite being centrally located the apartment is very quiet at night.
Facilities include air conditioning, wireless broadband Internet, wide-screen LCD TV with terrestrial and Freeview channels, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, gas hob, fridge freezer etc.
With a double bed in the bedroom and a comfortable sofa-bed in the sitting room the apartment can sleep up to four people.
Oxford Circus is 15 minutes on the Central line from Liverpool Street main line station (for Stanstead Airport or South End Airport). Oxford Circus is also 10 minutes on the Bakerloo Line from Paddington (for the Heathrow Express). Oxford Circus is also 10 minutes on the Victoria line from Victoria Main Line station (for the Gatwick Express). Tottenham Court Road (Dean Street Exit) is ideal for the direct line to Heathrow.
Check in time is usually from 2pm onwards although if there is no guest departing on the day you arrive you can check in earlier. Check out time is usually 10am or earlier although if there's no guest arriving on the day you depart you can check out later.
Whilst bookings can be taken straddling the Christmas and New Year periods, no booking can commence on the 25th December.
The check out time of 10am allows the cleaner to prepare the apartment for the next guest (bookings are often back to back). If a guest has a late return flight and wants to make use of the apartment until a later time they would be advised to book an extra day. Alternatively there is a left luggage facility at Paddington Station.

I stayed here with my husband and two teenagers. The location is just perfectly located to so many places and the underground station. The apartment was on the top floor so lots of steps but the skylight made it worth the trips up. We had everything we needed in the apartment even a washer and plenty of places to hang laundry which was another plus.
The teenagers did share a pull out couch which limited our seating when we gathered together at the end of the night but we made it work and really didn't spend much time doing that anyways.
The bathroom door was unique as it was a double swinging door that mostly closed but did have a small gap all the time which made the girls feel a little weird but again, this would not deter us from staying again. And the shower was wonderful!
We are happy with the space and would recommend it.

Nous étions un couple avec deux enfants 7 et 11 ans et nous avons passez Noël 2019 à Londres. L'appartement est super bien placé avec tout ce qu'il faut pour bien visiter Londres (Bus, métro, ...), le chauffage centralisé est top. Le proprio est vraiment à l’écoute et nous a tout facilité à l’arrivé comme au départ. Seul bémol, la cuisine n'est pas bien fournie en ustensile pour cuisiner et l'immeuble n'est pas bien entretenu. Par contre, l’appart en lui-même est propre. Thanks to Ian & Nick !

This listing "sells" itself solely on its location, in the heart of London and within walking distancce to Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, etc. Unfortunately it looks better in photos than in person. It is just a bit "beat up" around the edges, with chipped paint, missing or inoperative lights, etc.
Not only are the outside stairs steep, they are painted black and there is no light at the top landing, making that first step going down potentially dangerous.
While the owners/managers did respond to emails sent prior to the rental, there was zero contact with them during our stay. Nor was there more than the barest materials provided on operation of appliances or the basics of things like a simple bar of soap or toilet paper, no less suggestions regarding the area in terms of places to see or where to eat, get groceries, and the like.
Cooking equipment and tableware was inadequate for even basic meal preparation.
The location was indeed spectacular and compensates in large part for these negatives, but of all the places we have rented from HomeAway/VRBO, over 15 years and in several countries this was by far the only one lacking any evidence of the care we have come to expect from the organization and owners.
