Just a few things that could have been better, microwave plate was broken, the oven was not working, could not get the local news on the TV. It would be nice to know what folks need to bring!

Convenient

The beach access was awesome! The pool was so nice and peaceful. Plenty of chairs. The condo was well equipped and the a/c kicked butt! Extra towels under sink and some bigger beach towels (very appreciated since we flew).

It could have been cleaner. The walls, fans and picture frames were dusty. I’m a professional cleaning lady so it’s a pet peeve. Just dust mainly. Nothing disgustingly dirty. The sliding doors were hard to open. Also, you don’t have access to the main resort pool or the chairs which we didn’t realize. You have to book through the Sundial website to have access to those. The smaller pool is the one you use.

1. Location.Location. Location. You never have to move your car. Beach is 250 feet. 2. Supplies in the kitchen (glass cups, glass plates, silverware, coffee cups) 2a. Mr. Coffee Maker (for the price, we should have had a Keurig; and told to bring pods) 3. Clean refrigerator (nice, basic refrigerator w/ cube trays; no auto ice maker, but its okay; we didn't make ice) 4. No mold in the bathroom. Nice baseboards in the bathroom (which is hard to maintain, so kudos on a clean bathroom). 4a. There is some wall crackling/buckling, maybe due to moisture near shower head, but it's painted over, so not an eye sore) 5. Dining room glass table, dark seats nice; not a lot of clutter; a few decorations around; the basic 'beach' themed signs near kitchen; cute; basic 6. Restaurants nearby but many are called during August. Mid-August is quieter in Sanibel, but many restaurants and businesses close for their worker vacations before the true tourist season in October. So use caution, some places say 'open', but you are arrived and it's closed until October (Sanibel Village, Island Cow, etc); a lot of places are closed during mid-to-late August. 7. Realty office for key is off main road in Sanibel, easy to find, but not onsite at condo; They provided a 'welcome package' w/ a letter of how to call them for emergency; sadly you can't TEXT them, but leave a Voicemail 8. Older Umbrella and chairs and 1 floatie for kid on patio, all could be nicer. Looked a bit rusty, older. Bring your own floaties, although there are signs at the condo, no floaties; they take up a lot of room in a pool and limit the space of who can get it, so I understand that; people had them anyway in the small condo pool. 9. Patio chairs 4. Plastic Adirondack from Walmart. Not overly sturdy, holds 250 and lower. Not the nice weatherproof ones that are heavy. Adequate. 10. 2nd flr access was ok. Room was near stairs.

WATCH YOUR CHARGES. This management firm charges you additional above BOOKING.com. It was 1031.22 online, but my card was charged for 1100.00; an extra fee from them! RIP OFF 1. You cannot enjoy the Sundial resort amenities. Only the small condo pool but no jacuzzi. In the condo description, it should be clearly stated that this is an independent rental with zero access to resort amenities. The resort has bracelets to show who can enjoy the grounds. It was slow so they left us alone however you can see the staff checking out everyone's wrists. 2. No housekeeping offered daily,, but extra sheets left to change. That should be stated prior to booking. No extra towel in bathrooms. For 3 days, we used same drying off towels. We brought our own soap, thank goodness. Only small bath soaps left for hands. Bring your own soaps, body wash, scrubbers. This is not a resort, this is a condo housed next door to a resort you can't use! 3. The curtains were a disaster at the top. Rigged together with safety pin. At $300 per night, once you average in taxes and fees, this room should be immaculate. There was an extra duvet that I used when I got cold. 4.. Light colored sofa in living room is getting stained and worn, should be dark seating to conceal the usage. Lights colors on hotels don't work. 5. Carpet in bed should be ripped up for tile. Fee got dirty which means carpet was vacuumed but still dirty 6. You have to go to Mgmt office for keys after 9am. There was a teal Dropbox as we left at 9am headed for last breakfast on island. No keycode or no electronic access. You get two regular keys and a number to call for lockout. No on-site help. 7. Overall this room has potential but its been allowed to go downhill. I know its seen better days. Tile in the living room, bathrooms, patio make sweeping on your own easy. DEFINITELY eat at Doc Fords; good menu; chain atmosphere, but quality food.
