Stunning panoramas and peaceful mountain modern apartment

The views from the mountain modern apartment were absolutely stunning. We enjoyed that there were farm animals also on the property - chicken, cows, and cats. There are several hikes in the area, including one off the road to the left when you are looking up the mountain from the property, which go up to even more panoramic vistas of the Dolomites. The host, who lives on the property with her family, was very welcoming and accommodating. It was easy to communicate in English, and she is also fluent in German and Italian.

The switchback drive above Toblach to get to the property could be treacherous if there were ice on the road. Luckily, we were there during a sunny winter stretch and had no problem at all in a car without snow tires or AWD. The slope is sunny so even if there during a storm, I would guess it melts off quickly when the sun returns. The nearest markets are 10-15 min away down the mountain in Toblach so recommend stocking up when passing through. Absolutely worth the extra drive for the peaceful environment and vistas at the property!

Exceptional property, everything brand new, with a modern atmosphere that still honors the local traditions, and a breathtaking postcard-worthy view over the Puster Valley. Excellent breakfast – the owners were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help us with directions and suggestions in every situation.

The place is located on a hilltop – it's highly recommended to have your own vehicle, as it's difficult to reach by public transportation.

Perfect! Best accommodation I’ve stayed in :)

The host was so friendly and hospitable, felt right at home! The apartment was spacious and the view was WONDERFUL. There is heating inside the rooms and it smelled really good (of fresh wood) which made it even more cozy. The kitchen was clean and had all the facilities and again, the host was wonderful and sweet and made the stay delightful. The parking is also ideal as it was right on the same floor as the apartment. The city is an hour walk away and around 8-10 mins away by car, though I would encourage going for the walk down as the view was phenomenal and there are benches all over, it was a relaxing stroll and not as tiresome as you’d expect!

Everything was perfect though the WiFi is a bit weaker in the separate bedrooms, but it’s stronger in other spaces of the apartment.

Everything was above expectations: very clean, warm and with a breathtaking view. The hosts were very nice. We couldn't recomend enough. We will definitly come back.

Amazing views and tasty breakfasts

The location is secluded up the hillside with amazing views of Toblach, Pustertal/Val Pusteria, Lago di Dobbiaco and surrounding mountains The breakfasts are simply put amazing. We really enjoyed especially homemade yoghurt and jams. Also eggs from their own chickens is something you won't easily buy at your local supermarket. We always left with our stomachs full. Hosts are friendly and they try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Would we recommend staying here? Absolutely.

We probably didn't read the room description properly and/or didn't think of a possibility the room won't have a kitchen(ette) - we were surprised by this fact at first (under normal circumstances there you can't even boil water, but the hosts very accommodating). If we may offer an advice - emphasise this fact a bit more to prevent unwelcome surprises. For future guests - read the descriptions properly and be aware that there is no kitchen(ette) or anything similar in the double room. It didn't matter to us in the end and we enjoyed our stay nevertheless, but your needs may differ.

Guld til Petra og Marerhof for enestående ophold under Vinter Olympics 2026

Petra er en fantastisk sød, venlig og imødekommende vært :-) Skønt køkken med alt i udstyr. Store værelser, Behagelig Gulv varme overalt. Stort badeværelse med kæmpe bruser. Mulighed for opbevaring af ski og tørring af støvler.

Hovedpuderne var meget store - det er selvfølgelig en smagssag, men det havde været dejligt hvis man kunne vælge en de var mindre.

Diese Unterkunft ist ein Mehrwert für einen Urlaub in Südtirol.

Die Freundlichkeit der Gasgeberin ist kaum zu überbieten. Für die etwas größere Entfernung vom Zentrum wird man mit einer traumhaften Aussicht belohnt. Ich kann diese Unterkunft zu 100 Prozent empfehlen.

Espectaculares vistas en alojamiento muy básico.

La ubicación y las vistas de la casa eran espectaculares.

La casa era muy incómoda, se entraba directamente a un estrecho espacio,que hacia de cocina - sala de estar ,era agobiante porque las dos habitaciones y un pequeñisimo baño daban directamente ahí.. Las paredes, blancas , se veían bastante manchadas.

Perfektno!

Nemam apsolutno nikakvih primedbi - sve je bilo u najboljem redu! Jako lep, udoban i cist smestaj, opremljen svim sto je potrebno, sa prelepim pogledom na grad, jezero i planine. Bilo je uzivanje piti jutarnju kafu na terasi. Domacice su jako simpaticne i prijatne. Parking je prostran i bezbedan. Najlepsa mesta na dolomitima su blizu. Tre Cime i Cadini di Missurina na oko 25 kilometra. Jezero Antorno i Misurina na oko 20. Cortina na oko 30. Passo Giau i Cinque Torri na oko 45-50. Za namirnice, na oko 20 kilometra u Austriji je Hofer (Aldi), koji je mnogo povoljniji nego prodavnice u turistickim mestima na Dolomitima. Ovo je nasa treca poseta Dolomitima i vec planiramo ponovo sledece godine, a Marerhof ce biti ponovo nas izbor za smestaj.

Wunderschönes neues Apartment mit allem, was man für einen tollen Aufenthalt benötigt. Unsere Host Petra war sehr nett und hat uns mit frischen Produkten vom Hof versorgt.

Nichts. Nur der Weg runter ins Dorf ist leider ein wenig weit, aber dafür kann die Unterkunft natürlich nichts!

Bellissimo

Splendido alloggio, nuovissimo e silenzioso, con ampia vetrata e balcone rivolto verso Dobbiaco e le Dolomiti. Camere da letto ampie, bagno e cucina molto funzionali. Colazione deliziosa in stile contadino con salumi, formaggio, uova, pane, succo di frutta, latte e caffè. Siamo stati accolti con gentilezza e simpatia. E' necessario avere l'auto in quanto si trova sul monte Rota, percorrendo una strada asfaltata non molto comoda, ma il panorama lassù merita lo sforzo. Raccomandato.

Ich hab geschlafen wie ein Bär und mich wunderbar erholt.

Wunderbar gemütliches Appartment, ruhige Lage weit abseits (bzw. oberhalb) des Verkehrs auf der Hauptstraße, toller Frühstückskorb, sehr nette Gastgeberin. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe und mit dem Auto leicht und schnell erreichbar.

Mit dem Rad komm ich da nicht rauf - aber für Radausflüge gibts unten im Dorf Parkplätze, die als Startpunkt für Radtouren verwendet werden können. Sonst mit dem E-Bike anreisen ;)

Ideale per rilassarsi in famiglia

Distante 5 minuti di auto dal centro di Dobbiaco, gode di una splendida vista della vallata. Appartamento pulitissimo e dotato di tutto (lavastoviglie, forno, ecc.). Il bagno e lo spazio giorno un po' piccolini ma noi eravamo in tre (due adulti e una bimba) per cui non abbiamo avuto problemi. Petra e la sua famiglia gentilissimi; facile comunicare con loro e sempre disponibili ad ogni nostra richiesta. Colazione (su richiesta) ottima e abbondante. Un posto dove ci si riesce davvero a rilassare.

Eine unglaublich nette und gastfreundliche Familie! Man fühlt sich hier als ein willkommener Gast. Ruhige Lage oberhalb von Toblach (5 Minuten mit Auto), sehr leckerer abwechslungsreicher Frühstück, komfortable Zimmerausstattung aus Massivholz. Beim Frühstück ein Panoramablick auf Pustertal, Toblacher See und die Berge in Richtung Drei Zinnen.
